She is paying the Tea Party... every cent of her fee is donated to the Tea Party movement. She just announced it on C-Span.
You dork. :-)
;-/
And what is so special about Kansas anyway? I spent a week there one day.
But, to charge a forum that is losing money $100,000 (and this convention lost money)
I thought the basic convention was sold out and the only available tickets were were for tonights banquet and Palin address.... If the convention lost money with a sell out then the promoters didn’t price their event correctly, imo.
I’m trying to understand why a convention is necessary. This is a movement based on ideology not beholden to any party. Only parties have conventions, not ideologies.
Even my 5th and 7th graders know the geography of the US ...and have for years.
I love the fact she is promoting the tea party and the money goes back to the folks! So for the folks that dont like her and the lame stream mutton heads your not important.
there can be several arms and ways of coming together of a movement. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re doing a great job.
wow....thinkin like that you should love Obamacare....
The convention-goers crammed their necks?
That’s exactly right. This convention lost a lot of money and Sarah didn’t help much.
Not as a slight against Palin, but exactly who or what will she make the check out to? I don't remember anybody being appointed or elected to head the movement. I have no knowledge of any lead organization for the movement.
I was defending any views that others don't share. I saw this back in the day when people were calling W out on his horrible ideas and liberal policies. All of a sudden, dozens of longtime freepers (some being close to charter members) were being banned for the exact same thing we all say today about RINOs like Bush. And all of the witch-hunts began with rookie mods calling them trolls, etc.
Obama and the liberal media were put on notice tonight. You are missing the big picture.
Mamzelle, I agree. I turned to my sister after her speech and said, this is not the "national" tea party. I have been to several in the StL area and they were the same... "A" tea party, organized by outraged citizens to give voice to our frustration.
That is where I think the media misses the point -- these parties are organized by citizens . . . not ORGANIZED groups with loads of money.
I’m not missing ANY picture!!!
Obama was put on notice in VA and NJ and MA.
The media was put on notice with Palin’s speech at the GOP convention and on 9/12.
FReepers are saying she is giving the money to the movement. I asked, “HOW??”
LOL - I envy your wit!
Honestly, I think most of this griping is by shills sent out by the scared-to-death progressives. I even think they're paid. With how they pay ACORN and SEIU to hassle people, it's not such a stretch to think that they'd send out shills to strike a pose..."This is not the way the tea party should be run! It's being hijacked! $100,000 for a speech is absurd!"
I love it that Rush makes so much money, because it makes the left so mad.
It proves that she can really draw the audience.
What does Katie Couric get for speeches? Take that times ten, and that's where to start Sarah's pay scale.
Amen, sister, amen.
I believe it’s going to her pac, as will a lot of her speaking fees. Then she’ll donate and make campaign appearances for people like Scott Brown. She’ll probably donate to some people I don’t like; she already has. She warned tonight that there might be disappointments, and to not place so much hope in “leaders” but in ideas.
