You’re not getting my point.
Yes, the Vikings screwed up. Yes, the game was in their hand. Yes, the refs should have NOT been the deciding factor.
But when it came down to it, the refs WERE the deciding factor and handed the game to the Refaints. The fix was in but the Vikings couldn’t overcome both their own screwups AND the refs.
The thumb was on the scale — and it will be in the SB for the Refaints.
I did get your point. Again, blaming the refs.
Saints fans in the Dome that day will tell you the calls were going against the Saints.
A couple of touchdowns were scored on bad 3rd down calls against the Saints.
It happens. The Saints O overcame some of the mistakes by our own D, Bush and the questionable bad calls by the refs. See game film.
Favre BLEW IT. Many fans were packing it in on that last drive committing on what a wonderful year it was.
True to form, Favre threw and interception. Gave life to the Saints.
A coin toss went the way of the Saints. Must have been a fix when your guys got to call it. May have been a different outcome had Allan called it correct.
The 1st and 10 PI was a bad call. It would have been 2nd and 10. Bad call by the refs but not overturned upstairs.
Many would stake their life on it that Brees would have gotten them out of a 2nd and 10. Did it all year. Consider the Redskin game.
How did the refs fix it so Hartley would attempt a 40 yard FG? Most Saints fans had little to no faith he could actually hit it. Place was silent, he did. NO FIX!!!, no thumb on the scale.
Game over.
The ikings didn’t play any where near what they did against the Cowboys.
Our crappy D still beat you guys.
If we had lost, we wouldn’t be blaming anyone but our on again off again D And still walked away happy.
WIn or loss the SB, Saints fans are going to be happy and look forward to the next year and attempting to do the same.
Enjoy the SB. I will. I’ll even let you root for the SAINTS!
