Goodnight,everyone. It was fun.

A friend once told me, In my lifetime Ive seen a lot of things change, and Ive been against them all! Perhaps he overstated the point, but many of us would agree that we dont like changeespecially if it involves altering our habits and attitudes.
Thats one reason Jesus was so unpopular among the Pharisees. He challenged their long-established system of good works and self-righteous living. Consider the incident when the town sinner entered the home of the town saint in Luke 7. Simon the Pharisee wasnt impressed with the womans lavish display of affection for Jesus. Reading Simons self-righteous thoughts, Jesus immediately challenged his flawed perception of his own goodness by telling the story of two debtorsone who owed much to his master and one who owed less. Which of them will love him more? Jesus asked (v.42). Obviously, the one who had been forgiven more. Speaking to Simons I-feel-pretty-good-about-myself attitude, Jesus said, to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little (v.47).
The challenge is clear. Lulled into thinking how good we are, our love for Jesus wanes because we have forgotten that we too are among the ones forgiven much. And when that happens, ready or not, its time for a change!
Bible in One Year: Exodus 29-30; Matthew 21:23-46
Thank you for the wonderful message today, Mr. Mayor.
Thank you, Meg! Have a nice day today while you are out and about! Its rainy here this morning. Our groundhog didn’t see his shadow, so we will be getting pretty weather....LOL~~~
we hope!
What day is today?
Over breakfast one morning, a woman said to her husband, “Ill bet you don't know what day this is.”
“Of course I do,” he answered as if he was offended, and left for the office.
At 10:00 a.m., the doorbell rang and when the woman opened the door, she was handed a box of a dozen long stemmed red roses. At 1:00 p.m., a foil-wrapped, two-pound box of her favorite chocolates was delivered. Later, a boutique delivered a designer dress.
The woman couldn't wait for her husband to come home.
“First the flowers, then the chocolates and then the dress!” she exclaimed.
“I've never had a more wonderful Groundhog Day in my life!
LOL, JC! Is he out in the ‘Open’?
I just love this little doggie - it’s such a great animation. :)
Looking through the last of the posts for yesterday and even as early as it is this morning, that chocolate fondue stuff looks yummy!
Good for Marissa getting an "A" in reading, and hope the Math tutor will be a big help in bringing that grade up, too.
Chocolate Groundhog Cupcakes
Using a baked chocolate cake:
Step 1:
Remove a piece of cake the width of an Almond Joy candy from the center of a baked cupcake(I decorated the groundhog before I put it in the cupcake). Set the candy upright in the hole, then spread a layer of white frosting on the cupcake.
Step 2:
For the groundhogs eyes, trim the ends from a white jelly bean(I just used white frosting), stick them in place with frosting, then dot them with black decorators gel( I used the head of gingerbread decorations leftover from Christmas). Add a tiny triangle cut from a watermelon slice candy for a nose( I used a piece of red peppermint
again leftover from Christmas), brown M&Ms Minis for ears and cheeks, and a tiny rectangular piece of white jelly bean for teeth(again, just used frosting). Sprinkle chocolate cookie crumbs( I used crumbled cake from a ugly looking cupcake) around the partially emerged groundhog, and hes ready to greet his fans.
LOL! Oh, my!
Rus, thank you as always for the scriptures you post, along with food for thought for each day.
What a beautiful good morning graphic and post, Meg. Hope to see you later today as we enjoy some of Taylor Hicks’ crooning - will post the opening in a few minutes. :)
It’s very foggy here today and of course the groundhog couldn’t see his shadow - wish that it really did mean pretty weather now. LOL
Too cute, yorkie!
Cute cupcakes - do we eat the ears off first? :)
Bump to next page for Tuesday’s opening. :)
