Thank you, tiapam. I’m glad you enjoyed the opening and song this morning. The song has sort of a ‘twang’ to it, but it’s a strangly beautiful twang to me, somehow!

Thanks, jaycee. I like the whistling in the song, too. I don't know how old the song is - it was on a cd someone gave me for Christmas this year (well, last year now actually), but I think it was a compilation of several of their songs from various cds. A group I'm not familiar with, but I have liked many of the songs on the cd. :)
Later in this thread today.....be watching. :)

Hi, yorkie, thank you - glad you liked it all. I think, like jaycee, I like the whistling part as much as anything. :)

THANKS TONS, Y’ALL.
Just back from visit to regular Dentist and stop by Sam’s for prescrip and eye exam.
Dr B said we neeeded to wait for more swelling to go down—that it’s still essentially pretty butchered up.
So will see him and Oral Surgeon again on Friday of this week. Long live Vita-Mix puree’s! And huge Taiwan pearl tea straws. And a longer excuse to eat flan!
Thanks tons for your prayers and caring. And TiaPam and Yorkie—your wonderfully sweet cards just arrived. Yea! You touched my heart yet again!
May God return a 100 fold to both of you. And to Amy and those praying on this thread the same as well.
Let us continue to also remember in prayer MarySecretary and Jeff Head . . . and some other unspoken requests of other FREEPERS with long standing family needs.

Hi Billie. Time has passed quickly it seems. Logan just turned 8 in Dec. and in 2nd grade. I just picked him up from school and will be taking him to his Teakwondo class in a little while. He just earned his green belt in Dec.
Oh, and Christian is 13 and an 8th grader. The football team at his Christian school won the state championship in the small high school catagory.

I would not guarantee that all of those listed are still in harm’s way. I very seldom get a request to remove a name.
They all have our thanks and our prayers.
Next month, I may ping everyone who has a family member on the list ..... if I remember. LOL

Thanks, Jaycee.
I also enjoyed the whistling.
Reminded me of my childhood.
I loved hearing the men in the family whistling as they worked.
Hope you've had a wonderful Monday.

A friend sent me this, pass it on in the same spirit.
PSALM 2009
Obama is the shepherd I did not want.
He leadeth me beside the still factories.
He restoreth my faith in the Republican party.
He guideth me in the path of unemployment for his party’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the breadline,
I shall fear no hunger for his bailouts are with me.
He has anointed my income with taxes,
My expenses runneth over.
Surely, poverty and hard living will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will live in a mortgaged home forever.
I am glad I am American,
I am glad that I am free.
But I wish I was a dog ...
And Obama was a tree.

GOOD MILITARY MONDAY TO AMYS PLACE!
The Soldiers Code
1) I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
2) I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist.
3) If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
4) If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me, and will back them up in every way.
5) When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am bound to give only name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies, or harmful to their cause.
6) I will never forget that I am an American fighting man, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower, August, 1955.

Well I almost missed this gorgeous rose! Isn’t it beautiful?
Whistling is a happy way of making music and something else very important, my hubby whistled all the time! And he could really play the harmonica!
I really like the frame you put on the rose, Amy! Hope your day went good today!
