I have to say, some of the stuff cheerleaders did (even in ‘My Day’) were both eye popping and simply amazing. I now have a niece who is a cheerleader at A&M, and she has been injured several times. She’s small, so she’s one they toss in the air, and she loves it! She tells me she has to do fifteen minutes or more of stretching exercises before a game just to be flexible enough to do the stuff she does, without risking injury from just the excessive motion. Serious work for what looks like simple fun!
If I ever got in that position, theyd have to call the Life Saving Crew(JC)
This is the Yorkster BEFORE coffee, this morning!
Oh, thank you Johnn!
I’ll have the lovely toast (dry), and a small serving of that fruit (plain).
On second thought, I’ll have the bacon wrapped steak with bernaise sauce and the hashbrowns with LOTS of butter!
I just LOVE coming to your table in the morning!
Polly, how exciting! I have been watching the hummingbird nest web cam that Meg posted last week, and I am enjoying it imensely! (http://cam.dellwo.com/) I think the fledging will be the most thrilling to watch!
We were having a BBQ at some friends’ after church (many years ago), and a baby robin (not quite ready to fly) fell out of the nest. Their lab immediately ran for it, but I was closer, and stopped the dog.
I picked up the scared little bird, and held it until it’s heartbeat slowed down. Do you know, that bird stayed by me the whole afternoon. It’s wings were ready to FLY, when we drove away, and it followed our car for some distance. (Brought tears - fer sure!)
Ain’t life grand?
I’m running a little late this morning.
Due to fog, school has been delayed for two hours. When hubby takes Marissa to school, I will ride along as shotgun because we have to cross a busy semi-highway. An extra pair of eyes and ears helps.
If the Yorkster is that good before coffee, what in the world happens after the coffee?????? If I could do what that old lady is doing, I’d get to work on this house.....LOL!
Cute smile and a twinkle in his eye in that picture. :)
:)
We were in Dallas a couple of weekends ago and having dinner at a Red Lobster with some friends.... good conversation and good food.... when all of a sudden over the speakers came a familiar song: "Just To Feel That Way", which is another nice one from his Taylor Hicks cd. Made me smile to hear his voice somewhere other than my own speakers. LOL
Nice....very nice! I need a hero today.
My computer is running so slowly....I may have too much open or it could be F.R.! I thinks its been going in and out yesterday evening and earlier this morning!
Beautiful, Polly!
Meant for my last comment to go to both of you all. Thanks!
Thank you, Kitty. Glad you enjoyed them.
Shame your little white kitty can't get comfortable. :)
How unusual for Taylor’s song to be playing during dinner at Red Lobster. Did you mention to your friends or just enjoy in quietness? (I love Red Lobster)!
:)
Thank you. That little dog just looks like a hero to me. :)
I saw where you were ordering dry toast and fruit (plain) and I thought to myself “There’s somethin’ wrong there”...LOL.... and then I saw your second selection and figured you were kidding.
Oh, heck! Yes, I mentioned it - they know I'm silly about him. :)
P.S. Red Lobster is not my favorite restaurant because I’m not a seafood lover, but there is always chicken or steak. I usually order the chicken alfredo over linguini, but they had a brand new wood-grilled chicken in a sweet wine sauce they’d just added to the menu and it was excellent!
What I *should* do, and what I *do* do, is always two different stories. LOL!
