"The motion picture The Fighting 69th is released. Directed by William Keighley, this war movie about the 165th Infantry Regiment (former New York 69th Regiment) in World War I stars James Cagney...Jeffrey Lynn," Alway had a special affection for Jeffrey Lynn's character:
How does that go?
"I think that I shall never see
a sight as lovely as the Free
Republic's angry words when burst
against the liberals' latest worst."
Something like that... ;-)

Alway had a special affection for Jeffrey Lynn's characterDon't forget George Brent's character - "Wild Bill" Donovan. I always thought of him as a founder of OSS. I didn't know until today that he first achieved fame as a Medal of Honor recipient for heroism displayed in WWI. Probably also for whipping Jimmy Cagney into shape.
