Human remains have been used in rituals for hundreds, if not thousands of years. To me, this skull and bones is no different than the Tibetan chalices made from skulls or shrunken heads from New Guinea or South America. And it is only modestly less macabre than the sugar skull made for the Mexican Day of the Dead. It’s a piece of history, created in a different time.
