I changed the title from "Breaking News: Wade Phillips in Dallas Until 2012" to "Wade Phillips in Dallas Until 2012"
Didn't want the title to be confused with FR's breaking news.

He’s back as long as the Cowboys still make the playoffs.
I guarantee if they go 6-10 next season he won’t be back after that.

And if you look at their schedule next season, it is brutal.

I had Wade getting his walking papers after their azz whipping by the Vikes.
Great news though, it about guarantees the Cowboys will make the playoffs but blow it.
Now, what about Romo?
I understand he has an application in at Whataburger for assistant frier.

As an Eagles’ fan, I am happy Mister Phillips got the extension.

Sweet...keeping Wade Phillips guarantees more mediocrity for the Cowboys come playoff time...
Seriously...can anyone actually watch him during a game with respect?
He still looks the same as he did when coaching the Bronco's...
His facial expression is that of being the last person in the stadium to know what the heck is going on during the game....
That was SO annoying...he just looks...lost...all the time...

Maybe JJ found out that no other decent coach wants to work for him.

I predict if the cowboys lose their first preseason game, the ego-meddler will fire him on the spot.

Wade Phillips' contract option was picked up and Jerry Jones added two more years to the deal.
Though I dislike the Cowboys and Jerry Jones quite a bit (a leftover from the days when the 49ers were a dynasty and the Cowboys were a rival), I do admire Jones' desire to field a winning team every year and have them play in a sparkling new stadium.
But this is an example of the downside of Jones as an owner - the guy has an ego bigger than his stadium and has to be seen in word and deed as #1 in the Cowboys hierarchy. In the depths of losing he turned to Parcells, but he ran off Jimmy Johnson and the rest of his head coaches have been non-entities like Switzer, Gailey and Bum's son Wade. If I were a Cowboys fan, I'd be asking why Sean Payton isn't the head coach and why Jones can't just sign the checks and keep quiet.

Terrible decision. Should have tried to get Bill Cowher.

I am soooooooo not a Wade Phillips fan. But then again, as you can see by my screen-name, I’m not a Dallas fan either. LOL
