Just announced:
Nancy says she doesn't have the votes to pass the Senate version on the HealthCare bill.
This means that there are so few votes in the House for the Senate bill that even Nancy can count them all. I’m guessing that means the total doesn’t hit triple digits.
Wish we all go stand outside her office and yell:
“STEP DOWN! STEP DOWN!”

Of course not. The whole senate bill is unconstitutional.
I'm thinking the same thing. Some Kool-Aid is getting poured down the drain.
Nancy’s speakership is also on the line. She probably doesn’t have enough votes to retain the speakership, especially after the November elections.
The ‘Blue Dogs’ will either support her agenda and retire, or they will run from her agenda as fast as they can.

She couldn’t get the original House version of the bill passed today, much less the Senate bill. There was only a 5 vote margin on the original House bill, which means a switch of only 3 votes would kill it.
The rank and file Dems in the House are scared to death right now, there’s no way any Healthcare bill will pass in the immediate future. The Dems are going to have to start over and make it a bi-partisan effort in order to do anything.

Who could possibly have predicted that the people of Mass., the most blue state, would have saved us from the monster?
I believe that there are things that need to be done, one of the biggies is tort reform and also interstate sales of policies. Don’t see how you can mandate the insurance companies accept pre-existing conditions without mandating everyone be insured. I think there should be a national major medical pool, major medical only, and perhaps run by a consortium of insurance companies. And then there are the illegals...we just can’t afford to take care of everyone who can sneak across our border. Some pressure on Mexico is in order...like billing them for what we provide for their citizens.
We sure don’t need to make doctors take the hits..that’s insanity.
