Will Obama Repudiate Smear Campaign?

Will Obama Repudiate Smear Campaign? Silence is complicity.

BY WILLIAM KRISTOL January 16, 2010

So the Massachusetts Democratic Party is alleging, in a mailer, that "1,736 women were raped in Massachusetts in 2008. Scott Brown wants hospitals to turn them all away."

This is as ridiculous as it is offensive. And it is, of course, a lie. In fact, according to the Boston Globe:

"The 2005 amendment that Brown sponsored in the state Senate would have allowed a physician, nurse, or any other employee to deny rape victims an emergency contraceptive if it 'conflicts with a sincerely held religious belief.' The facility would have had to have someone else who could administer the contraceptive or refer the victim to another facility at no additional cost to the patient.

The amendment, which did not pass, was attached to a bill that he ultimately voted for, which required emergency rooms to provide the contraceptives to rape victims." So, as Allahpundit summarizes, "He wanted a limited religious conscience exemption for ER workers, with no extra financial burden to victims, and when he didn't get it he voted to provide emergency contraception anyway. Translation: Scott Brown hates rape victims."

Pretty unbelievable. And decent people from both parties should denounce the smear.

But it's even more unbelievable because of these two facts:

1. The Senate health-care bill, which Martha Coakley favors, contains an abortion conscience clause.

Section 1303(a)(3)

(3) PROVIDER CONSCIENCE PROTECTIONS. No individual health care provider or health care facility may be discriminated against because of a willingness or an unwillingness, if doing so is contrary to the religious or moral beliefs of the provider or facility, to provide, pay for, provide coverage of, or refer for abortions.

Kristol refers to Sen. Kennedy's letter to Pope Benedict XVI:

And who supported these kind of conscience clauses? Ted Kennedy. In the letter he wrote to Pope Benedict before his death, Kennedy explained, "I believe in a conscience protection for Catholics in the health field and I'll continue to advocate for it as my colleagues in the Senate and I work to develop an overall national health policy that guarantees health care for everyone."

Will President Obama, who'll be in Massachusetts Sunday campaigning for Coakley, associate himself by his silence with these smear tactics? Or will he denounce them?

Half truths and outright lies, its the Lib way of doing business. I look forward to the 3 most unbearable years of my life. 2012 can’t arrive quick enough. BTW, The year I was born the unemployment rate was 17.4%, I guess all I have to look forward to is the same rate when I die? God help us all.

Repudiation would involved honesty, which Obama lacks...so, no.

Billy Boy, Obama is going down in flames. The Dem in Mass is losing regardless of a 3-1 registration margin. Voters are much worse off now because the Dems won in 2006. It is all headed to the sewer and enough BS is enough.

The MSM keep calling it “an emergency contraceptive”.

Just to set the record straight, which no one else seems capable of doing, it’s an emergency abortion pill —— thus the suggested law.

If you think for a moment, there is no such thing as “an emergency contraceptive” since contraception means to prevent, and the deed is already done, the raped victim is pregnant or might be, therefore she wants an emergency “get rid of the baby if it is there” pill.

That is why it is objectionable to some doctors and nurses of conscience ...... it in effect kills the one or two day old child.

Do I have this correct?

I sloughs off the lining where the child might be growing, which is objectionable to some people esp Catholics.

So, it is an abortion pill but in Orwellian New Speak it is falsely rename an emergency contraceptive.

Of course Scott Brown’s position has been falsely renamed and distorted.

Like they did to G Bush who never fought back .

Perhaps Brown will aggressively fight back.

Brown for President.

This is the photo that should be spread all across America

For Americans to see what kind of PS the POS is .......

Can you imagine any other politician in America sticking his middle finger up to other Americans and getting away with it.???

Almost unmentioned anywhere that I have seen.

Surely forgotten.

But the picture tells the story.

As I have posted before, the Morning After Pill prevents the fertilized Ovum, if there is one, from attaching itself from the Uterine Wall. It is a precautionary measure.

On the other hand, the “Abortion Pill” causes a Miscarriage of an existing Pregnancy.

BTW - I am not stating an opinion here, so don't flame me.

"1,736 women were raped in Massachusetts in 2008."

Does anyone know where Bill Clinton was during that timeframe?

Or Uncle Ted?

Cheers!

Breaking: Scott Brown Mega Scandal
The Mega Independent ^

Posted on Monday, January 18,

Reports from inside the crumbling Scott Brown campaign indicate a scandal from which it may be too late to recover. We at the Mega Independent are proud to do our part for unbiased patriotic justice and uncover this, potentially just in time to save our Republic.

We have an unverified report that Scott Brown once drank orange juice from the bottle and then put it back in the fridge.

You read that right. Your eyes aren’t deceiving you. This man, Scott Brown, who has made it all the way to the edge of a Special Senate Election seat, once drank orange juice from the bottle and then put it back in the fridge. Yup. If this report is true, then he put his lips directly on the bottle itself and then drank and drank and drank. And drank. Then he recapped it and put it back inside like nothing had happened.

What does this tell you about Scott Brown, Massachusetts? That was his family’s orange juice. And he just lifted it right there out of the fridge and didn’t even bother getting himself a glass. He just took the cap right off and then gulped down a giant swig, all for his selfish self. He enjoyed it, too. Got the Vitamin C and everything.

And his campaign’s futile explanation for this dirty dealing? “Uh, I dunno. It was the middle of the night, it was dark and he was probably thirsty.”

Dark and he was thirsty. Uh-huh.

No lights in the kitchen at the Brown Estate? The fridge itself doesn’t have a light inside it that comes on when you open the door? Well, that would certainly be a first. A fridge without a light inside it. Unless the fridge was made in 1820. Ha! Too bad they didn’t make fridges in 1820, Scott Brown.

The lies, deception and dirty tricks from the Brown campaign never cease to confound. Doesn’t he know that he has germs? Germs which he could pass on to his wife, in this the Swine Flu Age?

And to his children? What about the children? Why doesn’t Scott Brown care about children? If wantonly and surreptitiously spreading filth and disease is the kind of thing he does to his own defenseless children, causing them to potentially require costly healthcare, what will he do to your children and your healthcare?

Think of America as the refigerator, and Teddy Kennedy’s Senate seat as the shelf. Scott Brown wants to just rip that cap right off of the “bottle” (Congress) and drink up all of the “juice” (legislation) all for himself. Maybe then he’ll put it back in the “fridge” (the Capitol Building) or maybe he won’t. But by then, everything will have already been contaminated by his “germs” (Republicans).

Let’s not give him the chance, Massachusetts. Vote Martha Coakley before we find out what other monsters are hiding in Scott Brown’s closet. If he wins on Tuesday, then by Wednesday, it will be too late.

The cap will already be off the juice.
