His Girl Friday... Great movie. Best watched while heavily caffeinated as to keep up with the rapid-fire dialogue.

Isn’t that the truth. The dialogue is so fast and furious in that movie it’s impossible to catch all the quips the first time you watch it.

Do you live in Santa Cruz?Watsonville. South county. Still filled with (and ruled by) statist drones, but with strawberries, also.

That is Nugent's main beef with the film:
Hysteria is one of the communicable diseases and "His Girl Friday" is a more pernicious carrier than Typhoid Mary. It takes you by the scruff of the neck in the first reel and it shakes you madly, bellowing hoarsely the while, for the remaining six or seven. Before it's over you don't know whether you have been laughing or having your ears boxed. The veriest bit on the strenuous side, if you follow us.

I haven’t been there since they put up the giant Obama sign last year. Suddenly their burritos gave me indigestion.

I will look for it next time and if it’s there, I am off the Giant Artichoke for Fried artichoke hearts.

Another Cary Grant movie that’s fast paced (but not as fast paced as His Girl Friday) is Arsenic and Old Lace, great fun to watch.

Still filled with (and ruled by) statist drones, but with strawberries, also. Good point. Watsonville strawberries are so good, they are worth enduring socialist nitwits to ensure a regular supply. :)

“His Girl Friday” is a rare example of something that has been “adapted” being far superior to the original.
Perfect Cast, perfect dialogue, I have to dig my DVD out sometime...
