Just had to post this. I'm watching on Dish Network and when you press info it says, I sh!t you not, "American Idol staring Ellen DeGeneres and some other people."

We saw it too, and were CRACKING UP! My son found out that an earlier caption had not mentioned Ellen at all, so they (DISH or the people they outsource the captions to) "made up for it" with this caption!!

Despite the stupid hair thingy Big Mike had glued on, if he would have powerbombed Seacrest through the floor, I would have been a fan for life.

>>Remember the rainy year when Stephanie was thrown out of the booth and had to be out on the street?<<

I don’t remember that but I think last year Bob made some some sort of (obviously off-script) remark about Stephanie’s age. She was stuned into silence.

surely Didi is on her way to a stool

Well, we have been sick of her crying so that would at least be "different," LOL.

Strobes are also an EXCELLENT migraine inducer for anyone prone to those. I pulled my couch blanket over my face. The cat on my lap didn’t seem to mind the strobe, though.

As an aside, the best outcome of the Cash for Clunkers program is that it got so many OBAMA /BIDEN bumper stickers off the road:)

Now that sounds familiar. Did you steal that from Ann Coulter, or did she steal it from you ;)?

OOOOHH, love the sound of Katie Cupcakes and Katietini. Lavender liqueur? I didn't know there was such a thing! Since here in SoCal I'm about as far from CT (not even going to try to spell it) as you can get without getting wet, whaddya say you go have a Katietini and come tell us if it tastes as good as it sounds?

Honestly, I used to skip results night until they started doing the cheesy group number. Wish I’d skipped it tonight, man. That’s an hour of my life I’ll never get back. I like Usher as a person, I can listen to the music on the radio, but I just can’t take the pole dancers, fog, and strobe lights. And what is Sean Puffy P Diddy Money calling himself now? Never mind. I don’t care. Think I’ll just come straight to the thread next week and save myself all that tedious fast forwarding ;)

I've been up for a couple of hours this morning...then I realized I fell asleep last night and didn't see who got voted out!

Fast-forwaded through all the crap, only to learn it was Didi. But the recording ended before the "save" announcement. So I had to come here to find out.

You said it perfectly. I'd be more entertained just coming here every week. This season sux.

Now he’s inducing seizures all over America.

LOL! You didn't see the warning they bannered across the screen before the performance?

VFW has no impact on Idol at all. It's those tweens and their texting that keep the Urbans and the Sanjayas on the show.

I'm sure you're right, it's just annoying to see the Worsters gloat - at least the Ferlies have a hormonal excuse. :)
Speaking of which, has anyone ever wondered what would happen if there were a set charge (say 50 cents, proceeds to charity) per vote? Might keep some of the tweens from voting hundreds/thousands of times a night.

Great pic of Didi..thanks...put it in my scrapbook along with Hayley's..

Another week WITHOUT Sparkleez on the thread....wassupwitdat???

I think Ryan was babbling incessantly because he had to fill time...maybe something? was cut from the show...

And just wondering...do we have a Tatiana update? Whatever is she doing with herself these days..?

Okay, I found the article. They think Ronald McDonald contributes to childhood obesity. Um yeah. I was a fat little kid and I think I had McDonald's maybe once every 6 or so months.

And I saw the people who are trying to get people to sign their petitions- it wouldn't be a bad idea if they pushed away the Big Mac once in while either.

Will Ronald McDonald be run out of town?

By Julie Wernau, Tribune reporter

9:39 PM CDT, March 31, 2010

It's not that people don't like Ronald McDonald; actually about two-thirds of them do, according to the results of a survey released Wednesday by Corporate Accountability International. But about 47 percent of them think it might be time for him to retire.

The group, which is hosting retirement parties at college campuses and McDonald's restaurants, is taking McDonald's to task for continuing to use the character to market fast food to children. Dr. Nicholas Freudenberg, with the Department of Urban Public Health at Hunter College, said such marketing by companies like McDonald's isn't helping in the battle against obesity and other health-related complications.

"For nearly 50 years, Ronald McDonald has hooked kids on unhealthy food," said Deborah Lapidus, senior organizer for Corporate Accountability International, pointing to Ronald sightings at schools in which the clown was seen handing out vouchers for "free burgers and Chicken McNuggets" for academic achievements.

In 2004, McDonald's introduced Happy Meal Choices — offering parents a new selection of nutritious options for children, the company said, and Ronald's role at the company is to promote healthy choices — nutritionally and academically, in addition to serving as the image behind Ronald McDonald House Charities.

No. I smelled burnt toast, woke up on the floor and Didi was singing.

LOL! This is too ironic.

My volunteer assignment today is to serve dinner——at the RONALD MC DONALD HOUSE!

What’s cookin’? Spaghetti, black bean soup, salad and french bread.

I think I broke the calorie bank!

I know I’m in the minority around here of actually liking Didi, and I’m disappointed — but not surprised — that she was voted off this early.

That said, there is NO drama at this point of the competition. Once the top 10 are set, and going n tour, we’re just whittling down the ones who can’t win. The order doesn’t really matter all that much. Happy, sappy Tim lasts another week, and Didi gets booted off 2 or 3 weeks before she really deserves to. No big deal in the grand scheme of things.

And, by strange chance, there’s just a total hiccup in the voting and someone with an actual chance to win gets the bottom spot, in comes the “save” (the STUPIDEST change to the show format ever).

So, no drama.

Jonnnnyyyy!!! <<glitter<<<

Usher was awful. I want to know about the clause in his contract that forced Seacrest to introduce him as a “singer, songwriter (I think) AND entrepreneur.” Ugh.

I’m sure that Michelle Obama is behind this. She doesn’t like the fact that Ronald has a better fashion sense than she has.
