Heather Alexander - March of Cambreadth (motivational music)

With all that is going on in the world, with our military and politics at home, I needed a good shot of motivational music.

What is yours?

I was thinking Twisted Sister's "Were not going to take it anymore" but that seemed a tad contrived.

Hmmm. May come up with something more strictly inspirational later. But, in the meantime, "you just can't live in Texas, if you don't gotta lot of soul..."

As witnessed by Austin's The Gourds, covering Sir Doug, on a sweltering June day in Dallas back in '97:

I discovered Heather’s music about ten years ago. “March of Cambreadth” is an excellent selection. This came off her cd “Midsummer”. If you like this you might want to explore more of her music.

Thanks for the web page! She reminds me of Joe Bethancourt. I like her version of Twa Corbies. “Knight, the other white meat” ... that was great!

This song is frequently mentioned in some great John Ringo novels.

Alas, she hasn’t produced anything lately. At least not as Heather Alexander. She and her partner Phil stayed at my place 14-odd years ago.

She’s been through some . . .changes since.

Here’s an ass kicking anthem I hadn’t listened to in awhile:

>>>She’s been through some . . .changes since.

I was clueless what that meant so I checked wiki. Darn that is ghastly news. As indicated above I loved Heathers music but I hadn’t heard of this development. As far as I can tell from the outside, this sort of thing never really ends well. I genuinely wish her the best but can’t feel optimistic.

All the same, she has produced a fine catalog of work.
