I think Jim Mora must be the most firedest NFL coach I’ve ever seen.

Highly doubt Carroll will go for it...he's such a good fit at the college level...besides I'm a HUGE Trojans fan.

This is what, the third or fourth year in a row that Carroll has been rumored to be lured to the NFL?

(Washington)Husky fans would be delighted! Not only would the Seahawks have a half-decent coach, but maybe someone ELSE would be a Pac-10 leader BESIDES U-damn-S-f’n-C.

I can think of nine universities in the Pac10 that are hoping that Pete Carroll will go back to the NFL.

Carroll is not a good fit for the NFL, IMO.

We had him up in NE for 3 years. And while he had an okay record, the players didn’t buy into his rah-rah brand of motivation.

He is made for college, and is a superstar at SC.

It will never work. For one thing Carroll never had a salary cap at USC

When the NCAA didn’t accept USC’s self imposed football sanctions (unlike their basketball sanctions) I think it sent a message to Carroll that it was time to rethink his career options.

As much as I love the Buckeyes and the Big Ten my other favorite team is Carroll’s Trojans. I hope Carroll stays right where he is.

What happened was that that second game we got our ass kicked. We just got our ass totally kicked. We didn't do diddly-poo offensively. I know. Wrong Jim Mora, but its still great

“Seattle Seahawks coach Jim Mora has been fired”

My tagline has been answered.

Mora just isn’t a #1 guy. Nothing wrong with that, but some people are not the type of leader it takes to be a head coach.

University of Washington was wise to pass him up.

What kind of sanctions could USC face?

Pete Carroll may be a great college coach, but his style is simply not for the NFL.

NFL players are in it for the $$$$$, college players are in it to get to the NFL.

Big difference.

Carroll sucked totally when he had the Patriots helm.

I will now gladly root against the Seahawks, just as I cheered when USC lost.

As for Carroll, he said he was voting for Barack Obama.

"It's time," Carroll said. "I'm excited for it, for everybody. Most of all, I'm excited to be represented by him around the world."

I think its clear that Carroll is getting the hell out of Dodge before USC gets hit with all sorts of penalties for NCAA violations surrounding the Reggie Bush investigation. I don't believe its a coincidence:
