Absolutely. I'm a bit of a gadget freak but the DVR has had the biggest impact on day-to-day lives. My wife and I use it every single day and it has completely changed how we watch TV.
Slingbox is a device that lets you watch your local cable connection over the internet.
If you have a slingbox hooked up to the cable in your house and a compatible phone, you can watch a locally televised game from anywhere you have signal.
Perhaps just next in the spectrum of computer interfaces, but the development and maturation of USB and associated devices (thumb drives, power, etc.) in the 00’s was significant.
“Agreed, PS3 blows the 360 out of the water. Wii however is without question cool.”
We bought a Wii a couple of years ago. The boys will play gamecube games on it but refuse to play Wii games, they say the controller sucks.
I was prepared to buy them a PS3 this Christmas. It turns out that they wanted the 360, the PS3 would not play the games they wanted.
I kinda wanted the PS3 for the Blu-ray playback, but got them what they wanted instead.
"It's just a long handle like a axe handle with a long blade on it that's shaped kind of like a banana. Sharp on one edge and dull on the other. It's what the highway boys use to cut down weeds and whatnot."

The Garmin is wonderful!
Here’s a gadget from long ago being reintroduced
Tobacco Smoke Enema (1750s 1810) It was used to infuse tobacco smoke into a patients rectum for various medical reasons, primarily the resuscitation of drowning victims.
A rectal tube inserted into the anus was connected to a fumigator and bellows that forced smoke toward the rectum.
The warmth of the smoke was thought to promote respiration, but doubts about the credibility of tobacco enemas led to the popular phrase, blow smoke us ones a$$
This old tool has been reintroduced in Washington D.C. by the new administration.
Are you feeling it yet? Ive been feeling it since the third week o January.
They have faucets like that as well. The faucet senses your hands and turns the water off and on.
I would love to have one. They say the knobs on faucets are a source of bacteria.
"Hey, open me another beer and watch me slide down this banister."
I totally agree.
BTW, I found the garbage can online at Costco.com. They’re not in the stores. It’s fabulous.
