This is a great pull quote.
He's so squishy that he's no longer a conservative.

“
I probably am the squishiest conservative on the face of the earth” He is conservative like Howard Dean is conservative. Dean opposed 0bamacare too.

Brooks is a CINO (Conservative In Name Only). In other words, he is a leftist pretending to be a conservative.
To: Halfmanhalfamazing
I think David Brooke was a conservative at one time, but he has a personality of a coward

They do this at the NY Times and elsewhere—they designate someone “conservative” and then depend on him or her (Kathleen Parker is another one) to dispute everything that real conservatives believe. Of what “news” value is this kind of childishness? And they wonder why they are going outta buisness.

"Squishy".
Interesting choice of words.
Does he walk like he's going to crush his socks, too?
Cheers!

Good quote, good post. This is the kind of thing to keep bookmarked for comments on future threads about David Brock’s, er I mean David Brooks’ columns.

He was “crunchy” and now he’s “squishy”?
He’s a hyphen, period.
To: Halfmanhalfamazing
Actually, the rest of the quote is more interesting. Even he could not stomach the stimulus or healthcare bill.

He’s an extra cripsy flamed Liberal. His other head does the thinking.

A metrosexual suck-up to the Mediascum is not a conservative -— he’s merely the “useful idiot” for the political class

Well, I tend to think of David Brooks as a steaming pile of dogturds, so here’s one area where he and I agree.

If the Republican Party cannot learn to fight like hell this time around, I am perfectly will to hold back and watch then miss the best chance they have. No more Brooks, Graham or McCain. One step in that direction and the party is finished forever.
