Eleven year old girls DO NOT have boyfriends, especially ones several years older. But then, I have seen 12 year old girls you would swear are 19.

I was thinking about this last night. In 1968 I was 11 years old and don't even remember having a crush on a boy. I had boys who were friends but no boyfriends. (And wouldn't have been allowed one anyways.)
I know kids have changed but GEE WHIZ!
The thing I wanted most that year was to be allowed to wear lipstick. So my Dad said “Okay but I get to pick the color”. He picked the most horrible shade of pink. I was so thrilled to be able to wear the stuff that I went through 2 tubes of it!
