I just got an iPhone.
I was curious if anyone could recommend what are the best games and \ or aps for the iPhone?
Yeah no wonder the Japanese are getting ahead of us on a daily basis. Quit screwing around on Freerepublic and get back to work.
Need any equipment, parts or supplies for your drilling rig?
I don’t own a computer. Do all my freeping from a blackberry. That’s all I need.
btt
1. iHeart Radio - lets you stream radio stations from all over US (Free) I use it to listen to Rush and Levin, Hannity, etc.
2. Pandora - this requires you to register an online account (free) and then you "build" your own music stations based on the music you like.
3. The Weather Channel (tell you local forecasts, severe weather warning and even has streaming video of weather reports (also free)
4. Free RSS - lets you push RSS feeds from your favorite web sites for news, etc.
5. iConvert - converts just about any measures for length, volume, area, temp, currency, weight, pressure, energy
6. Scanner911 - Streaming police and emergency radio traffic from all 50 states.
7. Bible Verses - gives you a different Bible verse every time you open it. (free)
8. Carpenter - a set of useful tools, including a plumb bob, level, protractor, etc. There is a free version and a paid version with more tools than the free version.
9. Sudoku (number game). Free and paid versions.
10. Cell Tracker (free). Keep track of your cell/data usage.
These are just a few I find especially useful, but there are thousands of others.
Dragon Dictation
Dragon Dictation - FREE voice dictation of emails, text messages, etc.
iheartradio - FREE streaming Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, etc..
VoiceMachine - FREE voice changing software - the kids love it.
Kooleido - I think it’s $.99 - it allows you to make really cool koleidoscope images and save them as wallpaper
Sketchbook - I think it’s $.99 - really cool sketching/drawing app
Urbanspoon
I hate to admit it, since I am in the audiobook business, but the librivox gives access to thousands of unabridged public domain audiobooks (of varying quality). The Scarlet Pimpernel was of professional quality. WHo knew a gal in Texas could do both British and French accents so well?
Try the game, Bitflip. It is new and a great game.
As it turns out, I just collected a list of recommended apps for some family members with new iPhones a couple days ago. So here! Enjoy your iPhone, they’re just wonderful.

(If you don’t already have a free Dropbox account, please get one via https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTQ3NzczNjk —I get referral credits. But I’d highly, highly recommend Dropbox even without.)

o ActiGoog. Push one button, dials Google 411 for free business-number lookup and connection, great for driving
Oh, and I forgot the very best one: iReagan. No kidding!
Well, I’ll ping “Swordmaker” here. You should get in his ping list for Macintosh/iPhone stuff... that shows up in the news.
And he may has something in regards to some interesting apps.
I’ll mention one that is free (to start with). It’s “Mantis Bible Study Software”. It’s free with King James version, and you can add other versions like the New American Standard or the New King James Version or the New International version and some other Bible study materials and books.
It seems to be the best Bible study software on the iPhone, that I’ve seen so far.
The purpose of Free Republic is to be read on the iPhone when wandering around aimlessly in stores and so on... :-)
Absolutely not... LOL...
I can see that you don’t have an iPhone or you would know how ridiculous of a statement that is. All iPhone users knows that there are about 50 other good uses to an iPhone from all the power of the Mac OS X operating system on that phone... :-)

Ragdoll Blaster
Yeah... there’s a Free Republic app, it’s called the Safari web browser that the iPhone has. It’s full web browsing and not a limited phone browser. It’s pretty sophisticated to have a regular browser on the iPhone.
Paper toss. Only ap you need.
