Is there a Free Republic app?
My niece got one too. She has downloaded a hundred free games. Bought some too. But I never play with it.

Depends on what you want to do with the iPhone. I consider apps like iheartradio and iRadioNOW essential, because I'm a talk radio addict and my car has built-in Bluetooth. Facebook, Dropbox, Bank of America, Skype, and AT&T myWireless are all pretty useful too.
This list by Gizmodo is a little outdated but still nice to tinker with, and pretty much every publication has their own list.
eWeek, TechCrunch,
etc.

Also, if you don’t mind the permabull cheerleading, the CNBC app is supposed to be quite good.
I haven’t tried it yet, though.
