An awesome rifle!!
Followup shots are a bit tough, but they sure are capable of getting it done with the first one.

Good looking rifle. Got two service grade rifles in the 60s for $110 each, and two Nat. Match for $150 each. Needless to say, I no longer have them, went to a bolt gun for compitition. Great rifle though, except when you get an “M1 thumb”. An easy rifle to accurize, well worth the trouble. Good luck and have fun.

I got one when the CMP was called the DCM back in the early 1980s...it cost me $125 then.
Keep your paperwork/box etc....it will give it more value in the future....

Very nice! You did well for a Service Grade.
I picked my out at the North Store in February:

It's a superb rifle. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours.

That’s a fine looking rifle. Now, how many thousand rounds did you order?

I'm showing my ignorance, but does the Garand have a detachable magazine, or do you have to use a stripper-clip?
