Less than 24 hours after he resigned, Florida coach Urban Meyer is instead taking an indefinite leave of absence and opening the door for a return to the Gators.
As reported by Mike Freeman of CBSSports.com, a person familiar with decision said Sunday that Meyer had changed his mind. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because no announcement had been made by the school.
Offensive coordinator Steve Addazio will run the team during Meyer's absence, a second person close to the situation told the AP.
Meyer is to speak at a news conference in New Orleans on Sunday afternoon. On Saturday night, Meyer said he was stepping down after five seasons as Gators coach because of health concerns.
The University of Florida student newspaper, the New York Times and ESPN.com first reported Meyer's change of plans.

I heard a nasty rumor that Fla’s AD was talking to Phil Fulmer, but there’s no Krispy Kreme in G’ville.
Wow, I thought I was hard on Urban. I hope his health is ok and the cyst on his brain is manageable. I wish him the bast whatever his decision.
It’s Billy Donovan all over again.
LOL that’s a good one.....actually, I heard Stoops from OK....though I’ve also heard Jerry Jones is going after Stoops big time (or is it Stoop without the “s”?) but hey, we’ve got St Nick down here so all’s well with the football world! Roll Tide
LMAO
