THE TEN MANLIEST FIREARMS
Arthur's Hall of Viking Manliness ^ | N/A | Crazy Einar

Posted on 12/24/2009 6:56:55 PM PST by parsifal

This was a hard piece to write, because guns by definition are manly, except for Berettas, gold-plated TEC9s, .25 caliber pistols or anything made by the French. To simplify things, I have limited it to modern cartridge firearms a man might, can, and should collect and shoot. There are certainly other manly weapons, and you may have a different list. As long as the list contains nothing French, gold-plated, .25 or with pearl grips (which Patton correctly observed are the mark of a New Orleans pimp), it is a good list.

IF we're gonna go with WISHES instead of REALITY, I submit this:

8 shell frag, or 20-32 cartridge magazines.

300 rounds per minute, fully automatic, gas-fired, low-recoil shotgun.

The AA-12 uses many different types of cartridges such as 00 buck shot, #4 bird shot, 12-bore lead slugs, or less-than-lethal rubber stun batons. It can also fire flares or special FRAG-12 18.5mm fin-stablized HE, HEAP, and sensor fused HEAB "air-burst" fragmentation shells that can detonate in mid-air.

Where’s the M1? It certainly deserves a top 10 slot.

Also, you could have spilled a gallon of chocolate milk on that Barrett and it would still have fired through a stack of 2,000+ laptops.

Quite right you are. Also known as a "Blooper" for the distinctive sound they make when fired.
A versatile weapon with quite a few different rounds made for it.
And its fun to use. Similar in trajectory to throwing a softball. But that can be useful in some situations,i.e. lobbing over walls, lobbing onto rooftops, into trenches...etc.....quite fun.

That's an interesting question! A pretty close guess might be Henry Beecher. He preached romanticist garbage in favor of adultery and pandered to wives with early feminism. ...hung out with Susan B. Anthony and even humped around with the wife of a close friend. Another associate of their was Victoria Woodhull (advocated "free love").

Yeah, I always found Sarah Jessica more manly than Hugh Grant. Not a good sign for either of them.

Santa won’t come if you stay up and wait, you know that.
The Barrett M82 would make most liberals dirty their shorts. A friend of mine has one, he paid over 8 grand for it. One day my wife and I went to range with him. I told her to shoot his new rifle. When she fired that thing it almost knocked her off the chair. That thing sounds like a cannon and boy does it kick. She was pissed for about an hour.

Merry Christmas
