The title is 180 degrees backwards. The purpose of a revolution is to overthrow a form of government. The socialists have been waging a revolution for decades against our Constitutional government. We are trying to stop the revolution by upholding the Constitution.
Oh really? Then why do we "conservatives" trash Members of Congress that do their duty to uphold the Constitution? Considering the negative -- & even hateful -- comments that I have read against Rep. Ron Paul here on FR, I am beginning to think otherwise.
Our current form of ‘government’ is NO LONGER what our founders framed it out to be.
So yes, a revolution would be in order if we would like to see this country have the form of government that it was created to have in the first place.
We’ve tried the ballot box. They’ve figured out how to hyper-complicate that process and rig it.
Representatives on ‘our’ side won’t or can’t stand up to the socialist takeover.
The ball is in OUR hands, people.
Those who think I’m wrong, come visit (what’s left of) the city of Detroit. You’ll see the true model of what this ENTIRE country will become within a handful of years if we continue as we are. Wishin’... and hopin’...
It is my belief that very key statements were put into the Declaration of Independence and not the Constitution because the F.F. knew the Declaration would not be subject to any form of modifications.
so...
" That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. "
" it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government "
" But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security. "
Given our current circumstance, the F.F. knew exactly what we would eventually face.
We are "there."
.
You are absolutely correct, good point. It may seem to some people that you are "splitting hairs" or arguing over the phraseology instead of the main point .... but you are not.
The Nationalist Socialist have been destroying our Federalist system since FDR. We were a union of States, and since the 1930's, we have been flooded by national laws, enforced by national bureaucracies and national regulation enforcement agencies. States are bleeding their sovereignty over to one centralized powerful government.
Our Founding Fathers fought a revolution to limit the power of a National Government, and set in place a Constitution to have very strict boundaries. This form of government has been chipped away at for at least the last 70 years, and all powers given to an ever expanding all powerful national government. That is the revolution.
Strict adherence to the 9th and 10th Amendment is the government our Country was built on. The people ignoring this and pushing for the National Socialist Marxist powerful government are the revolutionaries.
"Congress has not unlimited powers to provide for the general welfare, but only those specifically enumerated." --Thomas Jefferson
"To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors, is sinful and tyrannical." --Thomas Jefferson: Statute of Religious Freedom, 1779
"No free man shall ever be de-barred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain their right to keep and bear arms is as a last resort to protect themselves against tyranny in government." - Thomas Jefferson
... I think that about sums it up.
