At the end of "Opening Bell" on FBN, anchor and VP of Business News Alexis Glick announced it would be her last broadcast on the network.
"I want you guys to know that today will be my last day here at the Fox Business Network," she said. "How many people can say that they've had the opportunity to help build a brand new network. Being the first new employee of FBN. Seeing it grow today to over 300 extraordinarily talented people. It's been an experience of a lifetime."
"I'm about to embark on a new venture that's going to allow me to utilize the skills I've learned at Fox Business, Morgan Stanley and the 'Today show,'" she continued. "I can't give any details yet, but suffice it to say that I'm extremely excited about taking on another interesting and unique project."
Shortly after stepping off the air, she tweeted:
I am about to embark on a new venture. Can't give any details :), but I can say that am extremely excited. Thank you all for your support! Glick had been with the network since 2006 and had been one of the most visible personalities. Previously she had been an anchor on the NBC "Today" show's third hour. In addition to "Opening Bell," Glick was formerly the anchor of the preceding "Money for Breakfast," which was ended with the addition of Don Imus to the FBN lineup.
Glick was joined on-screen for a final goodbye by some of her "Opening Bell" colleagues, including Charles Payne, with whom she shared an emotional moment.
It’s not that he disagrees with me on matters, it’s that he’s so ugly when doing it. I actually have the urge to like him too, but he destroys it and then some.
When I see him on, I change the channel. If more people tune in that change channels like I do, then FoxNews should keep him on. Otherwise, he should go.
I’m sure it’ll be about ten minutes before he appears on CNN, should he leave FoxNews.
Fox Business Network can be run in a stadium. That ‘s their audience. No skillful reporting there like CNBC. Neal Cavuto is a clueless liberal faking like a Conservative.
Until Cavuto is removed from Mg.Editor of FBN, it will NEVER pick up.
You are the first person I have ever seen or heard call out Cavuto as being a CINO.
Geraldo is a whole.
His early job as a lawyer was to represent a violent Puerto Rican street gang, the Young Lords.
Geraldo also has one Jewish parent, one Puerto Rican. He was always Geraldo Rivera, until he went to Yeshiva law School as Jerry Rivers.
NOT GUILTY..oh wait this is not one of those threads...well good luck in what she does. Maybe they will put her in Sheps place on FOXSNOOZE?
Do you notice that every week when Fox morning show brings him on, every story they want him to comment on, he has to always bring himself into the story and talk about himself.
I can’t stand him and I always turn the channel when he comes on. I could care less about his stupid opinions!
JMO, but I thought she was awful. The sound of her voice made my skin crawl. Besides, she kinda seemed like a lib for the little amount of time I could stand to listen to her.
What! A liberal? Cavuto?
What channel are you watching? LOL!!
She was a mixed bag. I never quite warmed to her.
goood....she bugged the hell out of me.
“he has to always bring himself into the story”
So true! He also loves to hate on social conservatives because he thinks they are all phony - methinks he has lots to hide.
FNC is largely at fault because they bring him as an expert on so many issues that are way over his league - all 100% opinion rather than reporting.
Her husband Richard Glick made her quit.
That would be the best thing to happen since Hannity unloaded Colmes.
Dick Glick said quit quick
“What! A liberal? Cavuto? What channel are you watching? LOL!!”
Seriously...never heard anyone accuse Cavuto of being a liberal...but I digress...
What? A liberal? No...not any way you look at him...
She was a lib, but I liked her when she and Hannity would argue. Basically saying “give obama’s policies a chance to work” or something like that.
I liked Alexis...she seemed to be a good biz anchor.
Geraldo makes Fox news just like any other network...unfair and unbalanced.
LOL,
Guess he's "all vault", "nothing of value".
Addition by subtraction. Easy on the eyes, but a lefty at the roots.
