What is going on with Russia?
Not sure about your question? Are you asking what is going on with Russia? What’s you interest in this subject? It’s a very complex situation. Why do you think they are trying to start conflict in the ME?

sincerely, your thinking about russia on this issue is flawed.
anytime we discuss russia we have to remember they spend alot of time and money building nuclear weapons that are designed specifically against the united states and our western government allies. The continued upkeep of this weaponry is the litmus test to their continued communist ideology, influence and expansion on the planet. Of course putin and medved etc... would like to gain wealth along the way.
I know of very powerfull forces within their government are trying to destroy the wests economy with global warming issues via tremendous inflated oil prices using a “walk the ladder” approach. et al.
I think the title of my question was “What is going on with Russia”. That seems pretty self explanatory. My interest is curiosity about “What is going on with Russia”. Why is it complex? How does mideast turmoil serve Russia’s national interest? When the two largest arms suppliers to ongoing conflicts in Africa and the mid east are Russian, as well as Russia furnishing their latest surface to air missiles to Iran, denial of service internet sabotage attacks originating in Russia, the murder of investigative journalists in Russia, transportation of arms and spare parts from North korea on Russian aircraft, makes me a LITTLE suspicious that Russia wants mid east conflict.
What’s going on with Russia? They looking for ways to make a buck. They don’t care who they “help” and how much the hinder in pushing back bullies like Iran. They just want the money.

russia isn’t played out yet, if we get down to brass tax and look at the nations it is russia that is the US main enemy. They use any nation that is willing to undermine US/western thought. Mocmood-iam-in-a-jahad, the devil smelling chaves, cigar boy and little kimjon to name a few, although russia do not challenge china’s control as much on the latter looser. I don’t think it is important for russia or any nation to be “pure” communist to promote an idealolgy for top dog of the world(top superpower). It is noteworthy putin and medved (jokingly refered as Gog and Megog) are relatively young and full of vinegar. As quoted in “red october” the russians never do anything unless they have made some plans. KGB and GRU are still very active.
Would the destruction of Israel and the subsequent war between the “we have oil” and “we don’t have oil” countries of the middle east give Russia control of the noose around the necks of the west? They already have that control over western Europe.
If the Islamic countries of the middle east didn’t ultimately fight over control of the oil resources, they would definitely fight over who is the legitimate heir of Muhammad. You know, that old thing about who is right, the sunni’s or the shia’s. Would Russia be happy to supply arms to both sides and then stand back ready to pick up the pieces?
