Phil Hendrey talks to hisself and gets folks riled up to call in. He basically makes fools of those who do not know what it is all about. He crosses levels always yet today perhaps one too far. He purported to have a Republican on who promoted TEA PARTY meetings and Used this monicker to do what dems do all the time. This "other" person was equating obamacare to Holocost. It was so extreme wrong. There were folks calling in and buying into this level by discussion. It was "Jews this and Jews that" killed . Cordwood. It was too much. Then THEN is someone who is really phil saying they are Tea Party and equate one to another. The net effect is to get a rise out of an audience to call and be made a fool. I think certain things.... I think if we want to explore certain things it is with some reverence and not a part of some hype. The whole thing was a disaster except as usual the goaded call in and give more info. I don't think reawakening of all this horror and the animosity Over and Over is some little part of a program. A thread which was to say that regular folks equate one thing with another which is entirely different and we hold the key.

When ever I listen to his show, I am amazed as to how many people call in and are clueless to the joke. Sometimes, it actually makes me fear for this country to see that people can be so dense.
The Phil Hendrie guest you heard was Larry Grover. Here is a snippet from his biography:

Right now he is “interviewing” some guy about climate change who wants force people to use reusable toilet paper.
Being that Phil does satire, he hits all sides of the political spectrum.
Hendrie does all the voices on his show, which is a satire of talk radio. For awhile he was very much pushing an agenda (while putting down other talk hosts who pushed an agenda) but he’s gone back to the old format. So when you hear Doug Dannger, who is a gay man and a gay journalist, realize it’s Phil. When you hear the owner of the (fictional) Ted’s of Beverly Hills steakhouse...it’s Phil.
You can see clips of youtube of how he does it. He does several voices at once (including his helpers like Bud Dickman) using microphones and phones. Politically he bounces back and forth between left and right and he puts down hosts/people who are solid left or solid right on every issue. One minute you’ll be disgusted at his stand on the tea parties, then you’ll be laughing and agreeing with his stand on someone else.
He does have some real guests on, like the host of
Investigation Discovery’s “Most Evil” show, talking crime.

Okay, I went through the alleged “top 8” and Hendrie’s greatest skit isn’t even on the list.
(For anyone who doesn’t get Phil’s show in their area, there was one show where Phil’s “phone guest” was a guy who was directing a children’s play at his church for the Christmas holidays, and the guy wanted to “update” the story of Christmas by having the baby Jesus in the manger strapped like a suicide bomber. I about fell out of my car.)
I have enjoyed the dialogue yet it is not “pleasure”. It is not the battle at Kursk either. It is always different. Everything comes crashing down but you need call me on that for that is not true. We go as we do and need adapt to these new forces. It is not the tower ever but the spirit and guess which one wins? Your young minds are the future.
I, too, can think of many skits that are better than some on this list.

The first time I heard Phil was right after the war in Afghanistan began and his “guest” was a guy from Afghanistan who loved America but was insisting that the Americans were cheating because their bombing were flying too high for the Taliban SAM’s the hit.
It took me ten seconds to figure out it was a gag.

Years ago, Beck (when he was a local afternoon radio guy) took a page from Phil Hendrie, and it was hilarious.
In the 3 o’clock hour, he would inform the audience of a controversy they were going to discuss during the 5 o’clock hour (when folks who were just getting in their cars for the commute home would just be tuning in to the show.)
He’d have listeners call in and assign them parts, outrageous comments on the subject, etc. Then they’d start the “bit” around 5, the assigned listeners would call in to get the controversy going...and then they’d wait for the unsuspecting outraged callers to phone in and be made as heck.
Very funny, but straight out of Phil Hendrie’s book, except Hendrie manages to do all the characters himself. (my favorite Hendrie show was about a woman who had killed her kid’s dog for embarassing her..it was a masterpiece.)
see I’m already into tanks and things and they fling them together. Total massacre. Very little footage extant because everyone was under fire and it was an event not a show.There were horrid books/magazines later recounting terrible things one army did on another. It did not end. The un the un the firebombing on Germany which wiped 20,000 citzens one night. The Brits were very pissed and didn’t like those rockets coming in and killing all their citizens. All this mayhem. All this carpet bombing I’m not going to sit back and say it was a bad thing. I’m not taking away from those brave souls from what they HAD to do.
This WAS TOTAL War. Firebombing Japan. Then A-bombs. Never before, never again. I would never hurt one Nipponese in any way but it was different then. Because if you don’t fight you lose. Whereas I may allude to my forefathers they had theirs also.Even this, actually this I cannot brush aside ever. I won’t dwell yet cannot forget. It should never have been this way ever. We must realise that it is a new day and nobody here was slaveowners or capitolists in that they .. or racists. That’s understood.
Let’s fast forward to today and distill some principles. That “was” is to be ridiculed. The postwar life is a farce.
Only the horrors. The sense I make of this is that cadres not unlike what has been done before are enlisted to monitor citezens. They are rats. Very clever rats behind locked doors figure out how to retain control-the world be damned. Since they are so smart they use elements of national socialism and it will meld into communism and figurative trainwrecks during this transformation are but a blip on their screen.

No. Time fixes. It is not you or me. A note is struck and it becomes a chord or it doesn’t(but it does) So it is not about me telling anyone anything that they will not find later.Except at that point things are different again. We always think it’s the way we see it but there is constant change. It becomes difficult to express to you or anyone what impact that has. Can’t be some age or sage.
Consider the entire U.S. as a woman, which we can’t and consider a few are going to give her a quick 1-3 and leave her messy. Oh certainly i don’t want to get between that. BS. Of course I do. This is rape. This is waste on grand scale. Dude. Look it’s you after me.
