Masamune Date is not an obvious heart-throb for today

Oooh, I forgot about Ken Watanabe. Very handsome man and not a stick thin wuss. He was the best thing about ‘The Last Samurai’.
My husband digs Michelle.
Yeah. “Darling, your eyes take up your entire face.” Scary that.
Wasn’t Tom Cruise in a movie about Asian warriors of some kind? Mifune would wipe the floor with Cruise.
The training sequence led by Charles McGraw in SPARTACUS is a great example.
The Last Samurai.
Mifune could wipe the floor with just about any actor I can think of. Except maybe that ‘Sword of Doom’ guy whose name I can never remember! He was very good as well.
Darth Dork.
Narcissistic, death-obsessed, role-playing...Yep...hits many of the not normal checkmarks on my list, above and beyond the gayness...

Bruce Lee? Audie Murphy?
I’ve always managed the panty-grab by being myself at the Shinjuku rock-n-roll bars. No metrosexuals required.
girls love bad boys...
I’ll pass on this one.
LOL!
The two most decorated soldiers in WWII were Audie Murphy and Neville Brand. How’s that for REAL men.
> Do you think a real fighter from the Golden Age of Greece would have been “sculpted” like that, or do you think it’s an artistic convention for the depiction of epic heroes?
I should think running around and doing battle in bronze armor would make them very fit, if not well-sculpted. The artist would probably take some... er... artistic license when drawing them, like they do today. But probably not much.
That’s my SWAG anyway, for what it’s worth...
A closer look leads me to believe this guy was on steroids
Smart man. ;^)
(Grin!) Definitely.
And in the case of Audie Murphy, he had boyish good-looks perfect for Hollywood. To look at him, nobody would ever know that he was one of the bravest tough-guys ever.
Proof positive that “looks can be deceiving.”
Yes, but I think Cruise did a very good job, I like that movie:

I think even my Aunt Fanny could wipe the floor with Cruise in a fair fight.
“Guys can drop ten pounds in fluids even while hydrating properly.”
THAT I did not know. Never would have guessed it. I must have been colse to keeling over on a few occasions.
