>> 2nd best Xmas movie ever.

Just out of curiosity, what’s the first? Christmas Vacation? Die Hard (tangential, but definitely a Christmas movie)? Family Man isn’t bad. Wonderful Life, of course.

Right there with you with “Master and Commander” and it’s a damned shame it didn’t do enough box office to warrant a sequel.

Yes, we liked Master and Commander also. To this we Add Pride and Prejudice 2006, Nativity Story 2006 and Scrooge 2009.

Secondhand Lions is basically a movie about characters from my wife’s family.

Master and Commander is the most overlooked quality movie of the past ten years. But today's audience just isn't interested in that type of film.

Imagine how bad the box office would have been if Russell Crowe hadn't played the lead.

— The Prestigue

— The Butterfly Effect

— Memento

— American Psycho

— The Machinist

You must like Christian Bale! Glad I'm not the only one who loved The Machinist.

No one has mentioned “The Patriot”? It was released in 2000.

“Master and Commander”.

“The Blind Side”.

“Gladiator”.

“Rings” trilogy.

“Ghost of Girlfriends Past”.

Just kidding about the last one.

I would have mentioned it, but I thought it was from 1999.
