For 10 side-splitting seasons and one feature film, the crew of the Satellite of Love orbited Earth, faced with the arduous assignment of watching and lampooning only the most wretched movies ever made.

Bump for later.
Torgo’s Theme is my ringtone for calls from unknown numbers. :-)
That’s just plain cool
Little known fact about Mike Nelson: she’s a very conservative Republican.
For years I had a sense that he was one of us, but not based on anything specific. Just a feeling I had. I knew he married his fellow writer on MST3K, Bridget Jones. Years after the show, I read that Bridget Jones Nelson speaks at Christian conferences and events regarding marriage.
More evidence that he was conservative, though admittedly circumstantial. And plenty of liberals are married to conservatives, after all.
Turns out, I was right all along. Mike loves Mark Steym, reads National Review cover to cover, digs Ann Coulter, etc. He and Mrs. Nelson are part of the conservative nation (though he plays it pretty close to the vest).
Joel or Mike? They are both great. Mike had a tough act to follow but he was excellent.
I like them both, of course, but prefer Mike.
Plus using the effects from the Old BSG..
“In the future, geese will be rocket-powered!”
I also like how they just play footage of the Galactica in reverse as if that’s supposed to fool everyone watching.
I kinda thought that about Mike, too. Glad to see I was right. I noticed a lot of the leftist drivel on the show evaporated when “TV’s Frank” left. I always assumed that he was the main leftist influence on the show.
I’m afraid I must disagree. You are missing “Werewolf.” By far my favorite episode. “Paul you is a werewuf” and multiple shots of the same gas station.
Mike, all the way. Joel just didn’t do it for me.
Bumping this old thread to ask a question.
I had a guy a few years ago who sold me a couple of MST3K seasons on DVD, but I lost his email address.
Might any here have any good sources for these items?
I only have three seasons, and would like to get the rest of them over time.
Thanks in advance.
I keep looking for them on my TV—in the corner of the News broadcasts...
Remember the black and white Musical Instrument Manufacturer Infomercial - Mr “B-Natural?”
There was a guy who used to burn copies of MST3K episodes that were not available for sale. He would sell them for the price of the DVD-R. He stopped a couple of years ago.
Not sure if it’s the same guy.
You can buy collections on Amazon. Netflix always has several episodes, too.
An ingenious idea and a hilarious show . . . except for the blatant Leftist tilt of the humor. But that’s like putting down skunks ‘cause they smell, right?
Yeah. My guy did pretty much the same thing.
I’d pay him $40 per season. I have seasons 2, 3, and 8 so far.
AFAIK, practically all the full episodes of MST3K are on YouTube, which I much prefer to Hulu (you can block the ads on YouTube but not Hulu).
My Sons and I still watch MST3K’s season eight, “The Giant Spider Invasion,” from time to time. We even have all of the riffs memorized.

Mike: “I have cables in the car, Ma’am.”
