There are too many critical issues facing us today. We must remove the static. Admin moderators: I make an open requisition to pull the garbage threads off these boards.
Do we have a second motion?
To: NowApproachingMidnight
Second post, but not necessarily a motion.

Are you a hostess or cocktail waitress? And when did you first meet Mr. Woods?

I second that emotion.
Possibly that wasn’t what you were looking for, though.
Suck it up, baby. People are fascinated by it. Don’t quite understand why, but they are.

I would like to see them classified as ‘General chat’ instead of Activism/News. If this is a topic of interest for some.....so be it but it shouldn’t be in the News/Activism section.

An email to the admin Moderator would have sufficed instead of posting a thread as wasteful as the Tiger threads.

We have all kinds of non political topics and threads, should we remove all of these too? Just skip the Tiger threads, it’s not that hard.

You can deal with this very easily: ignore the Tiger Woods posts just as I ignore the Daily Reflections by Spurgeon and Oswald Chambers and the “satiric” political posts wrriten by self-styled “humorists”. Whosoever is interested can then read these posts to their hearts’ content and those who are not can simply skip by them.

Yes, there are bigger issues at hand. However I would rather the decision to read the threads be left to individual FReepers rather than to Mods. I believe each FReeper can decide for his or herself whether to waste minutes reading about Tiger without having BigBrother making the decisions for us.
