I have seen a lot of dumb threads over the past twelve years here at FR; but this one really stands out...

Palin has had good ‘fashion’ until I saw that awful hat. This post isn’t some “DU plant” running around. I like Palin. I just don’t like her hat!
The “Castro Hat”, as we guys call it, is one of those pieces of outfit we make fun of whenever some teeny bopper wears it. The hat’s dark green color doesn’t even match her outfit.
There are some women who said they wanted to buy the hat after seeing it. My question to you women is WHY??? Awful looking hat.
I was a fashion statement forty years ago and didn’t know it.
The US Army gave them to people for free.
Uh, no. The bill is entirely different.
On that other image of Palin someone posted above, you can really see how curved the bill is. Completely different.
Does Castro have three buttons on the side of his hat like Palin does? I don’t think so...

It’s not a “Castro hat”.
If you don’t like it, fine, but don’t go ringing alarm bells over not only wrong but silly stuff.
In fact it's the first hat that showed up at hats dot com. They have some really cool caps and hats here.
People in the army do not wear Castro hats. That is why they are called “Castro hats” because everyone recognizes them on Castro.
Keep in mind if I just made a thread asking about Palin’s hat, not much would come from it.
Her hat isn’t an army hat at all. If so, then tons of teenage girls are running around with army hats. No, they are something else.

So, without a doubt, the “Castro Hat” is popular on young women. It is funny to see Palin wearing one though.
Don’t let the beard fool you. Castro has always wanted to be like Palin.
So she got a Castro hat. Ha ha ha, that’s funny. Now your fifteen seconds of fame are over.
