Carry around a Clipboard (vanity)

I have learned that when I carry around a clipboard or even a single sheet of paper, people think I am working. If I carry the clipboard tucked under my elbow and a pen in the other, the phenomenon is increased. I'm working hard

Today the Senate is in session. The President is coming to visit them.

Collectively, they are carrying around a clipboard

I keep this around in case it becomes relevant....

If you dress in white and carry a file with you, you can walk into most any hospital or clinic and no one will confront you.

Or at least it was that way back in the 70’s and 80’s for me.

Maybe not now, but I haven’t tried it lately.

After my first inventory I learned to grab a hardhat and a clipboard, and walk around the plant with an air of purpose (easy since my purpose was to get out of work!).

I had a soldier drive around N Ft Hood for two days in a jeep with a clipboard. He'd stop and look at the little tags on the utility poles and "write" them on the paper. No one ever stopped and asked what he was doing.

i remember when the really nerdy clipboards came out. the ones with the calculator on the top. those are sweet.
