Let's see you do that on the old Type III 'pancake' engine. Been there, done that. In sub-zero temps. They don't want to go on easily.

I remember the first time my dad and I tried to change the fan belt on our I/O boat motor. Sat and looked and scratched our heads and couldn’t figure out how to get it on without undoing the motor mounts.
We called the mechanic and said “Don’t laugh, but we can’t figure out how to do this without taking off a motor mount!”
The mechanic laughed right back “You can’t!”.

I had a 57. I still miss that little car. I had 9.15 tires on it and it would go anywhere. It had 330,000 miles on it when I sold it.
