was the daughter of Gordon and Sheila Macrae. Their daughter
passed away? I recalled that she was married (at least at one time) to one of the comedians from the hit 70s series about a small town in Ohio (memory fails there, too).
I think she was married to Greg Mullavey. She died in 2000 from a brain tumor.

I really never cared for MB on “Family Ties.” She always left me cold and something really bugged me about her. I much prefered Phylicia Rashad’s Claire Huxtable on “The Cosby Show.” Warm, caring, but no-nonsense.
