ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- The Florida Highway Patrol says it will issue Tiger Woods a careless driving citation for a car crash outside his Orlando-area mansion last week.
Maj. Cindy Williams said Tuesday that will close the investigation and no criminal charges are being pursued. Woods faces a $164 fine.

One of the bigger wastes of time in the history of media. Golfer hits fire hydrant with SUV — captures headlines for 5-days. He got a ticket. Good grief.

Oh I did. Our deal was I loosen my death grip on the steering wheel and not play music that scares her and she wouldn’t run into trees anymore. :)

His self-important behavior speaks volumes of what kind of a JERK he is, which is why I have no sympathy for him.
I live in the area near his Isleworth home and although I haven't witnessed it firsthand, I have heard many stories of his poor tipping. Not only at restaurants but also caddies, casino dealers, etc. There are some other stories about his behavior towards those "below" him and if true, your comment above sums him up perfectly.

No kidding...good grief is right.
Tiger kept his potty mouth shut, though...and I thought that was the best thing he could’ve done. Let his lawyer handle it all...smart.
I don’t like him. Because of his filthy mouth and the Cialis commercials, I haven’t watched golf in a long time. It sure isn’t a sport you watch with a family, imo.
But he handled this the right way and I gotta admire him for that.

"His cheatin butt was trying to get away, his wife was chasing him down the driveway, knocking the rear windows out, he freaks and wrecks it. She used a golf club. Ironic, don't you think?"Karma, is what I think.

Well I for one am relieved! Relieved I tell you! I am just glad SOMEBODY... Anybody... Was cited and fined! Thank God for that at least. Now I can sleep at night. From the very beginning every print story, as they always do in cases like this salivated at the prospect of somebody getting fined or cited. I for one want to live in an unincorporated area far far away from the county seat.

It's simple, really.
He will throw 164 to the police to keep his sorry butt out of trouble, but will willingly give NOTHING to human beings who serve him in the restaurants he eats in.
His self-important behavior speaks volumes of what kind of a JERK he is, which is why I have no sympathy for him.
Wow, I hadn't heard that Tiger doesn't tip in restaurants. He is a JERK.
My guess is that Tiger has played golf all of his life and was groomed for the PGA tour and never worked a real job in his life. So he has no sympathy for waitresses and other types of help.
Or maybe he is just a selfish bastard. Look at what how he treats his wife and the mother of his kids by cheating on her. Tiger may be a champion golfer but he is a zero in my book.

You mean he and his wife won’t be handcuffed, shoved into the back seat of a squad car and interrogated downtown in a closed off room with a flickering light and pudgy chain smoking cop? Some Freepers will be so disappointed.
To: earlJam
Well, this is what should have happened in the first place. No evidence of wrong doing except reckless driving(suspicion yes, evidence no). This whole blown out of proportion story was just another smoke screen to cover up the real news, CLIMATEGATE.

Nope, started on private property, ended on public(fire hydrant)and onto some other land owner’s property. He will probably owe for the tree also.
