No insult to Tiger Woods but I've always thought of golf as more of a skill than a sport.
This doesn't mean that golf is easy or that anyone can do it. Golf is extremely difficult but is it a sport?

I think golf officially became a “leisure activity” after the Casey Martin case a while back — when the U.S. Supreme Court basically decided that a guy who qualified for handicap parking privileges had a constitutional right to play the game at its highest level.

"This doesn't mean that golf is easy or that anyone can do it. Golf is extremely difficult but is it a sport? " There's an old saying "There's only two sports, boxing and horse racing. The rest are all games."

Depends on how you define sport, I guess, but according to the dictionary, yes it is.
