Let me be clear: I don't like Romney. I wouldn't vote for Romney. I hope he never runs for President, and if he tries, I hope he never gets the nomination. In other words -- I don't like Romney!
However, -- I am tired of having to scroll past an anti-Romney ad as the #1 entry on every article lately.
Why does every post start with an anti-Romney ad? As far as I know, he isn't even running for anything right now.
In fact, why should every article begin with an anti-Anyone ad?
I've always considered most Freepers to be very objective and fair-minded.
Has FreeRepublic turned into a one-trick pony? (DestroyRomneyDestroyRomneyDestroyRomney...etc.)
It has become quite tiresome. Could someone please tell me why FreeRepublic is doing this?

NO, it is *I* who wish to thank you for taking the time & energy to point out to me how vague & imprecise the info in my posting was.
I'm genuinely surprised by how.... apparently there are huge numbers of freepers who don't check out Jim Robinson's postings... At least once a week, in the general search field, I type in:
posts-by:jimrobinson
just to see what he's "up to," if anything, and after I give a quick looksee at the posts, I click on: ARTICLES to determine if he's posted anything critical mass for freepers to be aware of.
There's just so many posters who are acting all surprised & confused, but Jim has made alot, ALOT of eloquent postings lately, articulating his thoughts about RINOS and FreeRepublic.com

Gun control is just the example I use, one of many issues I will take a stand on.
I've compromised way too much already! I don't want to get along with communists, I see no point in cooperation.

Yeah, I am sure he has some great insights. But Free Republic is larger then one man.

Actually, you're wrong because without Jim Robinson there would be no Free Republic. From the day I signed up there have been a number of people who have left FR for one reason or another because they were discontented with FR. Quite a few of them started their own websites.
None of them have been near as successful at attracting near as many people to their websites. None of them are regularly lurked over by different radio personalities like FR is. FR is unique but without JR who owns FR you'd have one of those other forums and not the venue found here.
Jim Robinson owns this website. These forums are Jim Robinson's. The mitt-bots and Romney admirers for YEARS now, have frequently treated other freepers like Piggy was treated in the last couple pages of LORD OF THE FLIES.
That is RUDE.
The owner of Free Republic has repetitively stated that he does not support Willard Mitt Mittens Romney, and that he never will support him, nor any other RINO.
To continue all these fake outcries and sham moans of distress, and pretending that Mitt-bots with their endless stream of Mitt-bytes is appropriate to post to FREE REPUBLIC is simply RUDE.
A few years ago, months after all the Mitt-bots arrived, I vowed that I would NEVER vote for him for anything, under any circumstances, no matter what.
There surely are tens of thousands of other lurkers who shared my sentiments.

Hey if this is about blatant and compulsive lying by Mitt Romney, the slimeball, I will add a few too if needed, and staytrue, I don't mean complex political lies that are arguable or complicated, I mean old fashioned, straight forward, compulsive lying about ordinary personal things and events, the guy is close to being a sociopath, if he isn't one.
