Let me be clear: I don't like Romney. I wouldn't vote for Romney. I hope he never runs for President, and if he tries, I hope he never gets the nomination. In other words -- I don't like Romney!
However, -- I am tired of having to scroll past an anti-Romney ad as the #1 entry on every article lately.
Why does every post start with an anti-Romney ad? As far as I know, he isn't even running for anything right now.
In fact, why should every article begin with an anti-Anyone ad?
I've always considered most Freepers to be very objective and fair-minded.
Has FreeRepublic turned into a one-trick pony? (DestroyRomneyDestroyRomneyDestroyRomney...etc.)
It has become quite tiresome. Could someone please tell me why FreeRepublic is doing this?
Jim Robinson, are you aware that this is happening?
Thank you.
Some people just can’t understand that complaining about a silly ad campaign against a candidate we will not support is not expressing support for said candidate.
Can we enlist Levi Johnson in the Junior Anti-Sex League instead?
Ummm, here’s a thought. Maybe FreeRepublic isn’t a democracy and Jim Robinson can put what ever he wants on here. Take it or leave it.
Correction: It should read, “I couldnt agree more with reminding people Romney is all for socialist ideals.
ROFL!! Sounds like a plan!
Your first post since April 5,2009 and it’s a complaint about how Jim runs his website. You’re no freeper.

Forgive me for not realizing that McGruff is the only person with the authority to define who is, or is not, a freeper.
Goodbye.
I agree, it reminds me of the below graphic and serves no purpose. We would do better to SUPPORT candidates that promote freedom, prosperity, and security (foreign and domestic) instead venting vitriol against one person.
Because the founder and proprietor really, really doesn’t care for the governor as a prospective presidential candidate, that’s why.

...and how exactly does your re-definition of already defined terms make the Massachusetts healthcare mandate "socialized" health care?
There already IS a definition for "socialized medicine/healthcare"....and it involves public funding. That is not happening in MA.
I still have the exact same private health care from the exact same private insurer, paid for by my employer and myself...not the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
There is an obvious undercurrent suggesting that the High Poobahs want Romney for the next candidate. We want them to know that they need to be looking for a real Republican to run.
Bluntly, I think Romney is our version of John Edwards.
If this much angst had been directed towards the McCain campaign, we might have averted the disaster of 2008. Say what you want about Romney, but I will take him over McCain any day of the week.
I agree with you about the anti-Romney ads. It is a real turnoff. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and it is no secret that many Freepers don’t want Romney anywhere near the WH, but we should focus on the real enemy of conservatives—democrats.
K: Wha’s for afters?
M: Rat cake, rat sorbet, rat pudding, or strawberry tart.
K: (eyes lighting up) Strawberry tart?
M: Well, it’s got some rat in it.
K: ‘Ow much?
M: Three. A lot, really.
K: Well, I’ll have a slice without so much rat in it.
Just as there was rat in each dessert choice in this Monty Python skit. There is Mitt is each FreeRepublic thread these days. Just as useless, just as distasteful.
You are kidding right ?
OK, I admit it, you made me laugh out loud.
When this started, I wondered why. I didn’t think it was necessary. I thought everybody here already knew what a liberal scumbag Romney is. I didn’t think he had enough supporters here to bother with an educational campaign against him. The longer it goes on, the more obvious it becomes I was wrong. I don’t come here for liberal open-mindedness. I’m glad Jim is sweeping the trash out the door.
Romney is my first choice - for a Palin cabinet Treasury Secretary.
