It’s not the coach. It’s a much, much deeper problem...

I can’t believe Montel Harris fumbled the ball on the goal line. BC NEVER should have lost to them

Hopefully Belichick hires him for the remainder of the season.

Now the Domers are looking more closely at their newest coaching target Brian Kelly of Cincinnati and finding he has some serious issues. Besides being a flaming liberal he apparently was in the middle of some scandal at Central Michigan with some players who stomped a guy to death and then talked to Kelly and his staff before they talked to police, whispers of perjury and coaching his players what to say. In addition Kelly and Fatty Mangini at Kansas have a thing in common , calling black players the dreaded “N” word to motivate them. I’d say they should pass on this guy and look at Harbaugh or take a stab at Stoopsie.

Notre Dame hasn’t been relevant for 20 years and hasn’t been a recruiting powerhouse for a generation. Sportswriters and media types are going to have to realize that about 20-25 schools are ahead of the Irish on the recruiting front and on field performance.

I guess the old ideal of Notre Dame being a perennial powerhouse and one recruiting class away from a national championship die hard.

Given the man's physical appearance, I find it puzzling that he was hired in the first place.

What does he say to his players that show up overweight for spring football?

Compared to Mark Mangino, he's a rail.

They should look at Charlie Strong, he coached under Lou Holtz at Notre Dame, has been with Urban Meyer for the last couple of seasons, and he deserves his shot. If Notre Dame is looking for a defensive-minded coach, there is none better, based on what he’s done at Florida.

It was more of an indictment of Mangino than anything. I mean seriously, how do Kansas players avoid breaking out in laughter any time he tells them to take a lap?

I don’t really follow ND football, but I know they had the worst team since Joe Kuharich was head coach there, he was fired as well.

A**hole owner of the Eagles gave Joe a 15 year contract at 65K/year before he went into bankruptcy.

Losses like this clown allowed are not resume enhancers.

Grab a chair and sit in the Florida sun in your dodage ex-coach.
