It’s not the coach. It’s a much, much deeper problem...

You’re kidding me. THIS is breaking news? Anyone with half a brain saw this coming.

Hopefully Belichick hires him for the remainder of the season.

Given the man's physical appearance, I find it puzzling that he was hired in the first place.
What does he say to his players that show up overweight for spring football?

Took long enough....should have been done at the end of last season!
Now he can go be the spokesman for TastyKake and Twinkies!

I don’t really follow ND football, but I know they had the worst team since Joe Kuharich was head coach there, he was fired as well.
A**hole owner of the Eagles gave Joe a 15 year contract at 65K/year before he went into bankruptcy.
Losses like this clown allowed are not resume enhancers.
Grab a chair and sit in the Florida sun in your dodage ex-coach.

Anyone else notice how the majority of their games are played in South Bend? Why does the NCAA allow that? (7 home, 5 away) A look back at previous years finds it is regularly done.

The Damers could get Phil Fulmer...he's in need of a job.

Holtz was the last coach Notre Dame had. Being a northern, cold weather school, it’s tough enough to recruit. But when your student athletes really have to BE students, that is really a killer. ND is either going to lower its standards or become a perennial 6-5 team (or worse with their schedule.)
