Instant Messaging questions. (Vanity)
TOPICS: Chit/Chat; Computers/Internet

Does anyone know what happens with Instant Messaging threads? Are they there forever? Can they be subpoenaed? Can they be deleted? Yahoo, MSM, Myspace etc.

Retention depends on the provider but most keep them for a long time.
They can also be stored on the both sides PC.
They can be subpoenaed as well.
