This is an incredible story, and truly a miracle. If he had to have a cardiac arrest, he had many things going for him - in the ER at the time, relatively young, the cooling equipment available, and good pulses with compression.
Kudos and thanks to the ER docs and nurses!

It took 4,500 chest compressions and eight shocks from a defibrillator to get Tiralosi stabilized at 11:55 a.m. He has already used up his quota under the 0bamscare plan.

My father, also named Joe, was just that age when he suffered sudden cardiac arrest. But, this was 1968, and they had no such methods to save him. RIP, Dad! We miss you still. You’ve got 11 great grandchildren now.
