[history]
WASHINGTON Rep. Emanuel Cleaver wanted people to stop complaining for a day and count their blessings.
What he got, however, was just more complaints.
Indeed, the Missouri Democrat was on the receiving end this week of an angry torrent of ill will from conservative Web sites about him and about Congress.

He only wanted us to count our blessings to make it easier for them to tax them.

We peasants should just relax and eat cake, so that we may reflect on the joy of having our chains rest so lightly upon us.
"Why are you people so upset, and why am I tied to this post? Is that a lit match?"...

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
 Smiling takes 6.
 Pulling this trigger takes 2.
 I'm lazy.

I’m sure, Rep. Cleaver that, as soon as we all shut up and agree with you, everything will be just fine.

He should take his own advice.
Freedom Snatachers (lawmakers) spend their days drumming up and looking for complaints so that they can make their name by enacting laws.
He’s fine with complaining as long as it isn’t about him and his cohorts.
