Curvy Women May Be A Clever Bet. Nigella Lawson: Curvy figure and an Oxford degree [Pic in URL].
Women with curvy figures are likely to be brighter than waif-like counterparts and may well produce more intelligent offspring, a US study suggests. Researchers studied 16,000 women and girls and found the more voluptuous performed better on cognitive tests - as did their children.
The bigger the difference between a woman's waist and hips the better. Researchers writing in Evolution and Human Behaviour speculated this was to do with fatty acids found on the hips. In this area, the fat is likely to be the much touted Omega-3, which could improve the woman's own mental abilities as well as those of her child during pregnancy.
Men respond to the double enticement of both an intelligent partner and an intelligent child, the researchers at the Universities of Pittsburgh and California said. The findings appear to be borne out in the educational attainments of at least one of the UK's most famous curvaceous women, Nigella Lawson, who graduated from Oxford.
But experts are not convinced by the findings.
"On the fatty deposits being related to intelligence front, it's very hard to detangle that from other factors, such as social class, for instance, or diet," said Martin Tovee of Newcastle University.

I’m THERE! LOL
not buying it. Break it down by race. School stats do not bear this out (and I am one of those mommas with an ample caboose).
That's an old picture of Katie Sandwina. She could put 300 lbs on a bar and do military presses with it.
I see this thread heading for the gutter in 5......4......3.....2....
And who could blame me? As a rock star he obviously had a lot of experience with the ladies......

Men respond to the double enticement...
Pssst....Freddie was gay. Sorry to burst your bubble.
Ping to find my way back once the articles are posted.
I suspect this is simply a fact of health. Women who are healthy tend to be smarter and have better bodies.
I got to thinking about it and every girl I personally knew who had great figures were at least bright.
Patti Ann Browne comes to mind! http://www.pattiannbrowne.com/
I worked for NYIT doing fiber optic research. My
co-workers didn’t look like Patti!
Browne has a Master’s Degree, Summa Cum Laude (GPA 4.0) in Communication Arts from the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, NY. She attended on a full scholarship (teacher assistantship), which involved teaching news-writing and production skills to undergraduates.
And not Julia Banderas?
Brains, beauty and judging from her appearances on Red Eye, a wicked sense of humor. An absolutely unbeatable combination.
