House Republican Leader John Boehner (Ohio) says the Obama administration is putting "liberal special interests before the safety and security of the American people" in deciding to bring the 9/11 mastermind to the United States for trial in federal civilian court. Boehner issued the statement on Friday, shortly before Attorney General Eric Holder formally announced the decision to bring Kahlid Sheikh Mohammed and four other Guantanamo Bay detainees to New York City.
“The possibility that Khalid Sheik Mohammed and his co-conspirators could be found ‘not guilty’ due to some legal technicality just blocks from Ground Zero should give every American pause,” Boehner said. “These men are part of a global terrorist network dedicated to attacking America and civilization itself, and on that awful day nine years ago, they succeeded in killing nearly 3,000 innocent men, women, and children.

Boehner loves being in the minority. He can just complain and complain about everything the Democrats do but cannot come up with anything for the Republicans. This is the main reason he is in the minority because he did not do anything when he was in the majority. Look at him on TV all the time now.

This whole trial farce is just for show - no conviction will result. The entire judicial process will be set on its ear, and unsustainable precedents will be set, both in case law and in interpretations of applicability of existing statutes.
ACLU taken to an exponential level, and continuing on an upward slope, rising ever more steeply to infinity.
Maybe they can get OJ’s jury sent to NY.

I don’t think Bohner should be the focus here when the problem is the Leftists, and their decision to treat this as a legal matter opposed to a military matter.
War has been declared against us by Islam many years ago. That makes it a military matter IMO.
IIRC it seems only G.W. Bush has reacted to that declaration with appropriate military action albeit took the enemy actions against us of 9/11 to get that rolling.
It’s the wrong decisions of the Left in control at the time be it Clinton, or this current guy Zero I believe we must address, and we must address them with someone that will actually lead with action of sorts, not just present us a show.

Sure glad I don’t work and live in NYC. Hopefully, the NYers will thank obie for the privelidge of hosting the trial of the CIA in their hometown. Imagine the fun of closed streets, restricted access, constant surveillance and the occasional bomb threat. Who knows, one of NY finest taxi cab drivers may load up and ram themselves into the court house and make a big kaboom. This should prove extremely educational. Why do dems think war criminals deserve civilian courts? The answer is, so dems can put the CIA in the witness box for cheap political points. How many Americans will die because of this decision?

I wish they’d stop saying “attacking freedom itself” and they want to “end our way of life” and tell the truth...they want to spread Islam everywhere in the world and won’t stop until they do. This is JIHAD. They will either take over the planet or have to be marginalized, or DESTROYED.
Worse, the Islamists could be plotting now to take hostages to exchange? Now that they're dealing with a dithering, demonstrably weak administration instead of the US military, they may have been emboldened to try something they wouldn't dare try before.
