Looks like a cute doggie. What happens if you get a Lab/Wolf hybrid, I wonder.

Looks like a husky, and how did it carry off three dogs? One I could see, but three?

I guess they didn’t feel the need to play God at that moment.

I don’t leave the house without a magnum in my pocket. Our little dog Tony has been attacked by two larger dogs in the neighborhood this year, both deterred by kicks.

In both cases the dogs were out the door to the sidewalk before the owners knew they were gone. Tony is always on a leash, which actualy puts him at a disadvantage.

A small dog was just snatched out of a backyard by a coyote in Scottsdale.

http://www.kpho.com/news/21589266/detail.html

That being said, a wolf dog hybrid has its own rules. Wolves will generally avoid humans by miles, if they smell or hear them. If a wolf meets up with a dog or coyote in the wild, it usually kills them.

However, a bred wolf dog hybrid is a highly intelligent animal, and can be about as smart as a five year old child. It is not a pet, but can work with humans it respects, if it is doing a job equal to its abilities.

A wolf dog hybrid needs a lot of territory to operate in, and can eat more like a wolf than a dog. That is, up to 25 lbs of food at a time, to last it for more than a week.

East of the Mississippi, there was some concern a few years ago that wolves and coyotes might be cross breeding. The resulting animal was decreed to be so dangerous to humans that it should be shot on sight. This is a reasonable policy.

Coyotes, on their own, are very adaptable, are tactical experts with a high degree of cunning, and are becoming more prone to losing their fear of humans. This has resulted in several documented attacks on humans on the west coast.

As late as the 1940s, wild packs of feral dogs were a serious threat to rural towns, and could become so again. Often these packs were so dangerous that organized hunting parties were sent out to kill them. In central and South America, towns regularly retained individuals to poison stray dogs with poisoned meat.

What the devil do you mean, “play God”? What does shooting a wild beast have to do with being God? It is Man’s proper place to determine if a wild beast needs killing or not.

Yea, I suppose God wanted those dogs dead so he miracled a vicious, unnatural hybrid animal into this mans back yard.

Idiot.

It isn’t playing God, it is self defense.

Me too... though I've also started using a walking stick... a six-foot piece of clear hickory. It's a quarterstaff, and used properly is very effective for foes on two feet or four. :-)

Looks like the people in the neighborhood that know how to use firearms had better keep them handy, hopefully some of them do.

Congratulations on the lamest post of the day.

I guess your saying that wolf-dog already played God after killing numerous pets.
