Wonder why they didn’t choose a man to play the role of a cross dressing, transexual man?

Will become one of those typical multiple Academy Award winning films that nobody goes to see. The Hollyweirdos will not be able to contain themselves.

The subject: Einar Wegener (left) underwent sex-change surgery in 1930. This was a result of years of modeling as a woman named Lili. After the surgery she adopted the name Lili Elbe permanently.

Nicole Kidman and Gwyneth Paltrow are to play husband and wife in a new film about the world's first post-operative transsexual. Turner Movie Classics can run a marathon:

I'm sure it will be a real knee slapper of comedy ;-0

Yay. Can’t wait. I haven’t looked forward to a film this much since Broke bum Mountain.

There is no role too low for the Hollyweird to play.

Mrs WBill will be all over this. She likes slooooooooow movies where people sit around talking about their feelings, and crying a lot. Subtitles are a bonus.
I rate movies by the number of explosions, and the number of scantily clad women. Plot is a bonus.
I won't be seeing this flick.

I think Gwynneth Paltrow is better suited to play the man (I saw her topless in that Young Shakespeare movie...)

In 1931, Wegener died after undergoing a final operation which she hoped would enable her to have children.I'd sure like to know what this surgery entailed. Building a uterus out of scrap apparently isn't easy.
