The pitch to Feliz was closer to the plate than the pitch to Rodriguez, but the calls were backwards.
Joe West has been awful. I’m not even sure that’s debatable.

Just damn Matsui is hitting everything.

You know that Tim McCarver used to be a Phil, right? It's not quite as bad as listening to Tommy Heinsohn on national TV broadcasting an LA Lakers game, but apparently it's pretty close.

Now batting .667 and slugging 1.500.
I think it’s a safe bet he’ll be the MVP if the Yankees hold on.

I don't know what the payout rules are for umpires in the "World" Series. I would think it's constant no matter how many games are played otherwise that would create a conflict of interest.
They will not be replaced by machines any more than refs in the NFL were obsoleted by the Instant Replay rules.

I can see the Yankees blowing a 6 run lead. Yeah, I can see it.

Howard - finally a home run.
Observations: Those "World Series" logos on the hats look like they were designed by Disney.
Can the W for Wilson on the plate umpires hanging mark part be any larger? Silly.

Howard wasn’t going to stay down all series long.
That guy has some power. Despite the original run, the new Yankee Stadium actually eats up homers from left over to right center, and Howard muscled one out opposite field. That’s impressive.

All of the NPB baseball simulator games I have feature mock advertising and in that context it's quite amusing.

I’m an old Yanks fan and decided to watch this game. Matsui has got very good strength and coordination. The Mr. November I guess. He is having a very good game. My best to all the fans. (Lou Gehrig is still watching)

I live 150 miles west of Philly and we have their fans here.
Looking forward tomorrow listening to and watching Philly Fans itch and moan.
