Gardner thought that ball would come off the fence softer but it hit a pole.

They are having trouble hitting against Lee... they got both games he started.

Yeah, no kidding. I just meant Burnett was the reason they lost the last game, not Lee.
The first game, Lee was the reason they lost and Sabathia wasn’t.

Jeeter was batting like he had ants in his pants - man, he’s been ready to unload for about the last three games...

They all look comfortable, especially Jeter. You know he lives for this.

ARod that was a strike three.
To: Red Steel
If by “strike three” you meant “was in the lefty batter’s box,” then yes, you’re correct.

The ump thought so and the center field camera did too. The overhead camera was iffy.

I remember listening to WS games on transistor radios during elementary school study periods. The teachers relaxed the usual prohibitions. It was a great way to experience those games — of course we were all baseball freaks in those days. Baseball doesn’t command centerstage in the sportsworld the way it used to.

Game ain’t over yet Neets.

I care little what umpires think as they’ve shown repeatedly this season they are hopeless. The camera in center is offset by a decent amount, and outside pitches to right handed batters look less so because of it. It serves to show mainly how high the pitch was. The overhead camera is dead centered on the plate. That’s exactly where the pitch was - the lefty batter’s box.

Not this inning.
I wonder if anybody has checked Joe West’s bank account? His umpiring has been horrible.

Do the umps, as a group, make more money if it goes seven games???
I would think so.

Maybe. I don’t think it’s long before they’re replaced by machines.
