Two words. Juan McCain.

Sorry, I’ll stand with Chuck.

As usual with California politics I am in conflict. My views are much more closely aligned with Chuck DeVore than they are with Ms. Fiorina. However, I strongly question whether or not a little known assemblyman from Orange County has the enormous resources it will take to unseat an entrenched incumbent such as Boxer. Agreed Boxer is a liberal nitwit but then again so are the overwhelming majority of the people residing in this state.

I will probably do what I always have done through out my whole life: I will vote conservative in the primaries and Republican in the general election.

You can support who ever you wish. There will be a primary.

What I don’t like and I am sure that many here feel the same way is for the GOP Leadership to get behind one candidate or another. Pumping money into their favorite, GOP establishement
choice.

Let the people determine the nominee...not the hacks.
In that way, once a nominee is selected, it can rally around that nominee.

Why are you supporting Fiorina for Governor, when she just announced she is running for Senate? Is there some meaning in your statement that I don’t get?

Christie is NOT conservative. HE’s moderate at best.

He is for lower taxes, regulation and spending though.

Just fyi

If you’re going to vote for Fiorina, why not just as well vote for the democrat? There’s no difference in the two.

But why not use your effort to get the nationals to pump some money into DeVore and get a real conservative instead just another democrap (CPUSA) candidate? Then maybe DeVore would have a chance!

DUMP CARLY!!

(And btw, she's running for Senate, not Gov. Sheesh....)

I saw what that hack did to HP. I saw how well she guided Juan McCain during the '08 election. I saw what she did to Lucent.

Carly's a no-good, Peter Principle-d, US jobs hating, greedy opportunist. NO NO NO! Go Chuck Devore!

Why not support the conservative from the get go?

This is entirely the problem with the GOP- support the 'popular' choice no matter what. Doesn't matter what she stands for. As long as there's an R behind her name and she has a chance to win, vote for her.

No wonder we are where we are today. And with continued actions like this, the GOP will never have conservative roots again. Never.

You do not advance conservatism by becoming more liberal.

Fiorinna is the so called leader who got thouroughly PUNKED by the PUMAs.

She is the incompetent who lead the “victory” campaign.

She also screwed over compaq and HP during her stint(k)there.

Just another RINO

Your title shows confusion on your part. Fiorina is running for Senate not governor. And frankly I prefer Devore and will do EVERYTHING I can to make sure he wins. The state is not necessarily liberal. The central valley and other portions of the state have the capacity to derail Boxer but we need a strong no nonsense candidate. Carly ain’t it.

Frankly I would rather that someone like you stay home. You cannot even figure out what race she is in. And for the record those of us who really are conservative voted for McClintock in the recall. If you had done likewise The Schwarzenkennedy would not have been elected the first time

Hey, it's a free country.

But I'd pull for anyone but Fiorina pre-primary. She's a McCain-style RINO.

I am sure Fiorino would be glad to learn that you’re supporting her for governor. But since she’s running for Senator then I don’t think she’ll take you up on the offer.

So, beating Boxer is more important than sticking to principles? Isn’t this how you got Arnold? And how we got Scozzofava in NY?

Carly has no detectable personality except a dragging, negative, bad one; and no accomplishments, unless you count trashing HP then making off with a golden egg.

I worked at HP during the Carly Years. The employees had been positive, cheerful, hardworking, good folks. Every time she had a company-wide talk, shoulders slumped, and people crept about as if they’d lost a war. She was negative and whiny, and bad for the company.

AND she farmed off all the IT support to India, and Canada.

I am saying (A) I don’t think she’d be a good Senatrix, and (B) I don’t think she’d be a good candidate.

So tell me more about DeVore.

It would depend for me on how “republican” she actually was. If she’s a 70% or 80% republican, I think in California that would be good, especially if she’s a good fiscal conservative and will vote against health care and cap and trade.

But once you get below that 70% number, I wonder whether giving the democrats a “bipartisan” vote is worth it.

You live in a liberal wasteland so I can’t blame you. I live in Maryland which is nearly as bad. Ehrlich was a pretty good conservative who won Governor. But he was defeated easily in his second term.

That’s the way it is here. If it were me I’d support the best conservative candidate in the Primary but I would vote for the yucky RINO in the GE if she won.

But, I’ll never do that on a National basis. I ll never do that again after McCain. It’s a conservative or bust for national elections.
